  Oil industry will not save Ghana.We need an economic plan.With the vast resources of oil and gas being found all over the world, prices will drop dramatically. We need a plam with the resources of the country.

  the notion that we have oil is the root cause of all our current economic crisis, so stop the oil production and I am sure our leaders will start thinking strait. Ghana was doing ok without the oil.

  If we keep handing over concessions to foreign interests who then let us have only 10-15% carried interest, they will continue to make massive profits at our expense.
  
  The least we can do is to renegotiate all new and existing agreements to ensure that we have no less than 50% stake in each concession on a 'take it or leave it' basis.
  
  Better still, let use our oil and gas reserves as equity in these contracts.
  
  Best of all, let us enhance the capacity of GNPC to extract and market oil and gas by employing Ghanaians in the diaspora with the expertise [and foreigners if need be]. Let us extract and market our oil and gas reserves ourselves. We then keep the profits for the benefit of all our people.
