Anybody can scout for you and it is up to you to accept and use the player anyhow you want or reject it.
But a technical director will have powers to impose players on you and give you directions on the best way to use them. In other words, he is more powerful than you.
So please stop this nonsense. You are not up to the job. With the players at your disposal, the imput needed from you is just about ten percent. Any average coach can get some decent results with this team. But we need the best to win trophies.

Read "Appiah says he is only interested in advice that would lead him to discover talents for the national team." The advice can lead to setting up of engaging scouting agency, setting up one or coming up with alternate systems.

Keeping you at the helm of Blackstar (blkst) coaching affairs is just a waste of everyone’s time. If we the average Ghanaians can see it, then what do you think of the player who can tell the difference in quality btw you and their club coaches( there goes your respect). Stop with the talk of unearthing new young players for the team, because blkst has enough quality now, to form two formidable teams to face any team in Africa. He is been motivated to quit, but as usual either he does not get it or simply daring the GFA to do him a favour by firing him. With all the storm hovering around him since Brazil 2014, any self-respecting coach would have quit the job; but oh no, not Appiah. Does this man know when he is being demeaned and insulted. The whole idea of employing a technical advisor for Kwesi Appiah is a big mistake; in fact it is going to lead to total confusion.
Kwesi Appiah would not like to be anybody's subordinate because he is the coach (not assistant coach as he was in the past). Milovan Rajevac would also not like to work under Kwesi Appiah who worked under him in the past. Thirdly, the whole thing is not Kwesi Appiah's idea. The way he understood it is different from the way the FA understood it. That is why he proposed Ben Kwofie but the committee rejected it. Clearly nothing good is going to come out of this and if those in charge cannot forsee a simple thing like this, then they lack wisdom.
The wise thing to do is to let the coach form his own technical team including advisors, assistant coaches, physiotherapists etc. No coach can be effective if he is not in charge.
If there is reason to believe that Kwesi Appiah is not up to the task, the wise thing to do is not to give him advisors but to replace him with someone more competent.
