  Yes the EC must recruit qualified staff and stop these family, cronies and nepotism evils. It is clear that the EC's staff most of them are not up to the task especially those recruited to do registration and handle electoral process. These group of employees are usually the temporal ones recruited in elections year. The best is to recruit base on a tight entry rules and procedures leading to competency exams and be made to sign an undertaking for them to know the consequences of their behavior.
  Most of them key in wrong names, spelling mistakes to wrong coding, you go for corrections especially the misspelling and they repeat it, what is that? yet still, this kind of thing is also found at the birth and death registry. You go to collect your birth certificate only to find out that they have decided to give you a different name from the one you have presented if only they have not even spelt your name correctly. Sometimes I feel it is deliberate or what. Those who know they are not competent at spelling names should not go for such jobs, the moment you alter some body's name it becomes a problem.
