Most of you are getting this whole thing wrong. The coach has a very good record when it comes to qualifying for tournaments. The problem is what happens during tournaments. The guys can close their eyes and qualify like scoring 6-1 in Kumasi etc. The issue is with the technical advisor because we can not guarantee that it will add any value because qualifying to the AFCON2015 with an advisor is no news because even the coach who is been advised has a better record at that stage then the technical advisor. Are we being short changed with this decision? Now who really took the decision to get the advisor? The Minister is claiming the government did after the GFA told to us that it is the decision of the coach. Who is going to pay for it? The examples been given for this use of technical advisor is mainly in tournament situations like the Germany, USA and Brazilians ate the WC. But AA was able to hold the Germans and lost to the USA. In a similar tournament the advisor lost 1-0 to the Germans but won 2-1 against the USA.The question is do we really need a technical advisor. If so what should be the record of the advisor? And what is he coming to improve on? Now who do we hold responsible for if the Black Stars where to fail ?

Nana, It is that corrupt GFA officials that are trying to appease angry Ghanaians by bringing in an advisor instead of sacking Appiah for being incompetent. What did GFA do to other coaches that failed? Why not do the same to Appiah? To think Appiah is a good coach based on his qualification record alone is logically incorrect. It bothers me when I hear people praising AA because of his record.
AA record seems good because most of the opponents Ghana has faced during his time as coach are mediocre African teams. If you don't believe, check his record against teams outside Africa. The win against before the world cup South Korea may be his only victory, but bear in mind that South Korea is NOT A GOOD football country (another mediocre opponent).
Don't be carried away by Ghana's draw against Germany. We were lucky they missed many chances and did not start a strong squad against us. They could have embarassed us like they did to Brazil.
Ghana's defeat against USA was disgracrful considering the caliber of the players on both teams. This defeat shows Appiah is tatically incompetent and was outcoached. He rested his best players in hope to bring them on when the Americans are tired. This is irrational thinking, not what Blackstars need.

We are a country that have a terrible way of organising ourselves. Wining the world Cup at this level depends on the organisation behind the team. We are just trying to blame our failure on the payment of appearance fees. To enable us get a grip on it we just come out with the idea of the signing of contracts by players without the government also pledging to fulfill its part. The distraction is when players have signed the contract and they are expecting to be paid then the government comes up with reasons why they can not get the money (whether electronic or cheque). The only way the players can hold the government is to decided not to train or play the match. This is because they know that the team will attract sanctions from FIFA or CAF and that is better pressure than taking it to any court!!!

Just like Ghana got trapped in the empty euphria of Black Stars near semi final exploit in South Africa world cup until self over-rated attitude brought them the most disgraceful outing in Brazil. Same arrogance has taken the front row again, Nyanteyki is already talking about bringing the AFCON 2015 trophy home as though other African countries are going to Morroco as ordinary and mere observers of the tournament.

Any wonder why Ghana is caught again in a celebrations of mediocrity of playing a drawn game with Germany. Other African countries in the past did not only play sterling football to beat the top Cathederal football nations, they did so on the world cup stage and never was there any celebrations from those countries or accolades from FIFA or recognised anywhere as Ghanaians deceptively want to be praised for pkaying a drawn game.

Senegal beat France on the world stage, France being one of the Cathederal world cup countries. Nigeria did same to Spain on the world stage, never was there jubilations of the kind we are seeing Ghana, Cameroon beat Argentina in an opening world cup game stage where the rest of the world saw it as an African world cup football renaiscance and not one of individual self praises. Algeria was the pioneer in doing so against Germany on world stage, that achievement did not stop Algerian from exhibiting the best African football performance in Brazil against the same Germany they defeated in the past. Ghana with all the noise has never beaten any top European or South American countries both in competitive or friendly match ever, yet the Ghanaian usual noise is loudest. Its a pity Ghana is so mean in tgeir attitude.

Czech Republic is not a world cup Cathederal country and that's why they couldn't even qualify to Brazil 2014. There are many European countries that have been ranked in FIFA top 10 but are not regular world cup participants and Chech Republic is one of them wothout doubt. World cup Cathederal nations are those who have established themselves with the world cup tournament and have the enviable record of not missing. Czech Republic got to the 2nd position of FIFA ranking largely because of their activities in Europe prior to the South Africa world cup and largely because of that years world cup qualifiers and not for any reason of football pedigree. When Ghana became the second best ranked on the African continent as a result of South Africa performances, hasn't Ghana's FIFA second best in Africa not turned out over the years to be superfelous and overated position.? It took Ghana three AFCON participations and a woeful Brazil performances to cut Ghana to real size on Africsn football rankings. Ghana football decline has just begun; Morroco AFCON will seal the rest of the decline. Lawyer, keep your fingers crossed.

Nigeria was the best FIFA ranked African country ever at position number 5, it simply puts the likes of Nigeria, Code D'Ivore, Algeria, Ghana and Czech Republic or Republic of Croatia who have reached world cup semi finalist on the same football pedigree. Czech Republic is not one of top European football nation in the same ranks with Holland, Italy, Germany, Spain, France and probably England.
