Of course, Khay, we can learn a great deal from the huge mistakes committed by the managerial unit of the now defunct GhanaAirways and build from there.
The private sector needs competition from a better organized and efficient outfit...right now, private airlines control the skies in Ghana and they are taking us to the cleaners......
As for Professor Adi, he is just one of many who wants to contribute his two cents to the debate...I don't begrudge him that privilege, however, if the proposed National Airline is to function efficiently, Ghanaians have to change their attitude towards government agencies. The British run British Airways and you don't see English men and women of clout bulldozing their way to the front ahead of others....it is an african mentality to take advantage of everything that has the imprimatur of government....

Please Those Government appointees who will be thinking of the new airline to run like those days Gh operations may not have it easy.
Remember technology has simplified a lot hurdles in terms theft and fraudulent manipulations by short sighted individual about company growth.
I will personally propose to the government to spear head the national carrier concept and open and avenue for private Ghanaian Partners and even involve the staff package ownership.
Beign Transport and logistics Expert and working for other Country Airline and its working for them ,Why not Ghana with its growing populations and business opportunities around.
Look around us in the sub regions what other airlines are harvesting in Ghana.
The future of Airline industry is great for Ghana. Some people need to understand the importance of Ghana in the old Ghana Empire and the Trade routes.Especially Kumasi and Tamale as per the Train routes. These cities are factors that made Ghana what it is today and transport and communications are prime necessities for development.
The Government of Ghana will open up the platform for investors be it Foreigners of indigenous to sect up and operates with a guidelines to allow only the Board and the Investors to run independently with out interferences from the castle.
In conclusion, We need aim high in this century by comparing ourselves with Countries like America,France and even Australia in principles and our development agenda.
We are up coming and we need to think of what development structures we are leaving behind as our own contributions to Mother Ghana.A country in West Africa is licensing 26 new airlines between august And December 2014.What are we doing by discouraging Government.
The same way millions are trooping to the oil and Gas sector please these goes with development and we can continuous to serve well outside and not doing well at home.moreover all the know how about aviation comes from abroad anyway , therefore these will bring strange faces around and we will share ideas like what the oil sector in doing to Ghana.
Please lets help the government fine tune this big ideas.
May God Bless Ghana forever.
