The alliance of the ndc and cpp is a marriage of convenience which is beneficial to both parties. The fear of withdrawing support for the ndc to allow the npp in through the back door is the fear and common enemy of both groupings.
Rawlings used the cpp as a foundation for his party since he needed a base and found the cpp who were hovering as a banned party a convenient bedfellow.Th UP tradition wanted to obliterate the cpp so the cpp found a home in ndc.But it looks like it is time for the cpp to assert itself because it is by far the most popular party in Ghana and the ndc is the beneficiary of its popularity.
It is high time therefore for the cpp family to come together to implement its true ideology of social justice.

I couldn't have agreed with u the more. the Nkrimaiats must not cease from serving as springboards to the successes of other political parties and strive together for the success of the mighty cockerel.

My brother it is not ideology alone or history that can make the CPP again. Most of the youth who form majority of the electorate have not been aquainted with the CPP. They have not seen any proper organisation or attractive activities of the CPP, they have not been familiar with any good and longstanding presidential aspirant of the CPP, when there is any political discussions they are centred around NDC and NPP.So you see the CPP must do things that will through positve light on them. Intensive and sustained. They need money. They real people light the kennedy agyapons who can spend millions of dollars on his party without necessarily looking to be the flag bearer. Who are the financiers of the CPP. The CPP guys are not dedicated. What I will say in short is that kwame nkrumah has toiled for nothing. Unless there is a massive injection of funds , and a sustained media campaign for over a four year period for the electorate to be convinced that there is a party out there called CPP iam afraid that nkrumah, s good work alone wont work for after all it is not nkrumah himself who will stand for elections. As it is it is sad to say that the CPP is lost forever.

Nhrumah never dies but his party seems to be in coma. The chickens must come home to roost.

The writer obviously lives in clou-cuckoo land. The CPP to all intents and purposes is dead. Nkrumaism does not belong to CPP alone. You will see in ALL political parties, elements who are comfortable with the concepts of Nkrumaism. Why waste their time in an entity with a useless Chairman like Samia (what is her claim to fame?), her ambitious and empty barrell acolyte Akosa, and a charlatan of a Gen Sec Greenstreet all of who only want to fight for crumbs under the table?
