To get there transparency is needed. The party must have excellent accounting system. Maybe hire the services of big accounting firm.
This is a far cry from Jake and Owusu Afriyie who were crying the coffers are dry. Fresh blood indeed.

my brother this is not a bold idea, because state funging of the political parties will give the govt the authority to control the financial transparency of the parties this will check kick backs from contractors and nobody will hijack his or her party by paying more money, you can ask, the French are doing that since long time.members of the parties continue to pay their contributions normally in addition to the govt.s funding.

If the party leaders do not let transparency rule, they will lose membership. The party will become irrelevant. Right now there are laws on the books that parties should account to EC but not one of them has complied.

Multy party democracy is run with money. No party can depend only on its members alone. Why do we have parties in goverment very rich while the opposition sometimes go close to bankrupcy. To be able to control political parties, why dont we partly finance them. We allow parties to fend for themselves only for them to come to power and run down our economy by enriching their party first. Is that what we want as a nation? Learn about political funding in Germany.
