Stop making blanket statements such as the heading for this story. The chamber president may have his personal interest in this but that doesn't mean the chamber as a whole lauds government. How much are the foreign partners bringing and for what shares? Many Ghanaian companies including chamber registered members are shutting down and struggling with high cost of borrowing, lack of access to credit, increasing taxes and cost of living. What is new about a sugar factory opening?

This is the way forward for the progress of the nation.Industrialization is the surest way to solve most of the nation's economic problems,especially earning foreign exchange and creating jobs.Every effort must be made by the government to reactivate all the factories abandoned after the February coup of 1966.I hope the government will have a critical look at the Asutuare sugar Factory and the Bolgatanga Meat Factory which I believe can also be revived.
