There are many fields where Ghana lacks the needed expertise. To solve this problem the government of Ghana has over the decades made scholarships available for the needed human resource to be trained abroad. In some cases so many people were sent and not even one returned. If you know you are not prepared to work and live in Ghana and would therefore not return do not take the scholarships.

The Takoradi Poly Students who were sacked for applying with fake certificates must be prosecuted in a court of competent jurisdiction. Just sacking them is not enough.

Nowadays businesses and government organisations have stopped demanding Secondary School Certificate or Basic Education Certificate.

Each of these certificates are important. For example for many tertiary graduates the only certificate that can tell whether one can speak good English or whether one has adequate knowledge of Mathematics is the Secondary School Certificate.

Similarly the only certificate that can tell whether a tertiary graduate has basic knowledge of Ghanaian history, culture, agriculture and the basic geography of West Africa is the Basic Education Certificate.

I think that you are absolutely right about bush meat. But there should be also more controls for the shores of the country; many fishermen are fleeing from Liberia back to Ghana - but noone is testing them. There is absolutely no cause to panic, as Ebola spreads not as easy as -let´s say - a flew, but one has to do all to avoid this deadly disease to enter Ghana.

Go to Accra circle the gutters are full with dirt, go to Makola market the whole plce is smelling bad thge odour there can even bring another disease.Ghana can never be healthy if the whole country keep smelling badly.
The sanitry system is bad. Are we blind? Almost all our ledaders have been to London UK or were even trained there but they come' back to Ghana take ministerial posts and they behave as they never saw how the British Live. Vote wisely in the next Presidential elections and let Nana Akuffo Addoh come to power to change certain things for the betterment of Ghanaians as a whole.

When HIV descended on from the "blue sky", the entire world was made to believe that it originated from Africa because that virus spread through monkeys etc. Very funny indeed. How long have these monkeys been living in our forest and their interaction with humans? How long have we been using them as meat/food? I have never heard anyone or anybody eating a monkey or bat and having a common headache let alone a deadly virus like Ebola.

As long as our governments allow lab animals from the West into our forest, the chances of us getting or contracting some strange disease is indisputable.

In October 2001, an article appeared in the New York Times about how some Western doctors were arrested in Libya by Gaddafi. Their crime? They were caught giving the HIV virus to new born children in Benghazi Hospital. Gaddafi swore to kill them but US, Britain, France intervened. The case was settled with a Ten Million dollars each to be paid to the affected families but was rejected due to religious principles by the families. They ask, "If we don't have HIV, how come that our children born in a particular hospital had the virus"? They demanded an answer but in the end, due to international diplomacy, cool heads prevail.

That is a case which people should use to understand that there are people somewhere with something sinister against some innocent people elsewhere. Africans are always at the receiving end because we cannot delve deep and make research into how some virus all do appear on the continent.

I swear that this Ebola is man-made and it is being tested to see its potency.
