  Price electricity in such a way that people will be incentivized to use electricity judiciously. For example the first 50 kilo watts must be base level. the next 50 kilowatts draw a premium of 20 % and the next 50 kilowatts 50%. Also, since everybody is installing air conditioners, it is time to revise the building code for building to be insulated. Additionally, there should be different rates for peak hours.
