We must equip our Navy to deal with this menace effectively.
Our marine installations need to be fully protected to support our nascent oil and gas industry and maritime economy.

To my own opinion an investigation must be commenced to establish the true this report from IMB. I wanted to know which part of Ghana coast the tanker was hijacked by the pirates ? Ghana coast is safe for maritime business, the Ghana Maritime Authority and Ghana Navy are adequately prepared for such eventualities.

The act of recent piracy which took place along the eastern coastline of Ghana must have been aided by some criminal Ghanaian collaborators. Without the assistance of local fisher folks and others who ply their trade in the same area mostly favoured by the Nigerian pirates, these despicable acts would never succeed but fail at source. There may even be some corrupt political individuals in Ghana who may have financial interests in such piracy along the local Angloga coastline and who would want to protect the acts of piracy taking place in Ghana.

I wonder who controls it. Inspite of the switch, the terrible English grammar continues to persist!
