They take pics. and bring them home to hang around their Offices and Rooms in the houses to show them off. To them these are what makes them exceptionally important in the home Countries.

I have heard folks claim a bragging right for various Ghanaian Presidents for having met with the USA President or the latter visiting Ghana during the term of those Ghanaian Presidents. It is as if the mere visit of Obama or Bush or Clinton is what automatically transforms the our Society to become developed.

The only thing that is needed to make any significant change in the attitude and performance of these African Presidents is to tell them that USA would use her expertise and influence around the World to expose all hidden Accounts in safe-havens that the Presidents and their cronies might have established with our stolen monies.

Now, below is the reason they were invited and nobody should go reading something else into it. It is quiet unfortunate the Ebola is ravaging our region. But, Obama has never orthered a screening on any of the African leaders invited.

Specifically, the August 4-6 Summit will advance the Administration’s focus on trade and investment in Africa and highlight America’s commitment to Africa’s security, its democratic development, and its people. At the same time, it will highlight the depth and breadth of the United States’ commitment to the African continent, advance our shared priorities and enable discussion of concrete ideas to deepen the partnership. At its core, this Summit is about fostering stronger ties between the United States and Africa.

The theme of the Summit is "Investing in the Next Generation." Focusing on the next generation is at the core of a government’s responsibility and work, and this Summit is an opportunity to discuss ways of stimulating growth, unlocking opportunities, and creating an enabling environment for the next generation.

Osei Yaw, I emphatically agree with you. I will apologize before-hand for quite a long comment, but to describe the majority of comments on this issue as unfortunate, is to say the least, an understatement. I think depressing and frightening are words which best describe what it all sums up to be.

This evidence shows clearly that Ghanaians have not yet attained the matured age of democratic civility where they should understand that an elected President is the President of all Ghanaians irrespective of whether we like him or not or whether we voted for him or not – especially in the current circumstances where a foreign entity assumes to belittle us all. If we continue to engage in petty divisive internal bickering, it becomes unavoidable that we shall inevitably play into the hands of our cunning and crafty age-old exploiters to continually belittle us.

Again, this revelation exposes the fact that Ghanaians are still not enlightened enough to understand that an elected leader, whether we respect him or not, is also the spiritual and moral leader of all of us, regardless.

When we have problems with our leaders, we shall have to strive to deal with them as and when it is appropriate for us to do so, in our own suitable time. We don’t need any abrasive and undiplomatic meddling in our internal affairs as well as insults to enable us to solve our problems.

Ultimately, these are critical reasons why Ghanaians should be serious about who they vote for in all elections. However we go out there and we consider the most outrageous, daft and asinine reasons such as tribe, religion, looks and personal affiliations to inform our voting patterns for inept candidates who clearly and inevitably, will only further let us down and cause more deprivation, disgrace and public shame to us – all of us.

If our political parties were serious and they functioned democratically from the roots upwards, they would not offer the kind of poor options that we have been routinely presented with, to vote for. As we speak, none of the existing political parties have on their cards, serious options for the electorate to vote for in 2016. All the possible current options are the kind of people who can only guarantee further poverty for the mass of Ghanaians and subsequently give license to our detractors to further heap insults, shame and opprobrium upon our heads.

The realization that many Ghanaians are not even aware that the abnormally undiplomatic and disrespectful measures that Obama is imposing on these albeit, equally pathetic African leaders, is insulting not only to these Presidents alone, but more especially to all of us Africans, the continent of Africa and the race of Black people in the world, is a worse reality we have to live with, than the ineffective incompetence of Mahama, his predecessors and his likes.

Ghana had no business to be among a group of well-known dumb African leaders who have been summoned by the slave-master to his house, to go down on their knees to beg for small-change and to be racially subjected to insults only so as to feed the promotion of sadistic racist white American and European stereotyping of Black people and Africans.

After the most recent insult to Africa that, corrupt African govt leaders will be denied visas to travel to the slave-masters house in America, I would have thought that a President of a whole Kwame Nkrumahs Ghana would have advised himself to restrain from further humiliating association with that foreign govt that evidently has no respect whatsoever for us. The sum total of current American foreign policy towards Africa today, appears to be drifting more towards bigotry and prejudiced white opinions against Africans and Black people wherever they may be located on this earth. These unfortunate racist opinions insinuate that, Africans cant think - even for themselves and that is why they are poor, dirty, full of disease, stupid and inferior human beings.

There are many Africans for whom the unfortunate conditions in Africa and indeed for all societies and communities where Black people live, are too complicated and way beyond their intellectual grasp. Such Africans, such as the totally befuddled ones whose opinions we read on Ghanaweb, would readily join the forces of global racism to further insult themselves and the dignity of all other Africans and create greater justification for white imperialists to go ahead and rip us off even more than they have done in the past.

According to Dr. Anthony Fauci, an immunologist who has made substantial contributions to HIV/AIDS research and other immunodeficiences, both as a highly respected scientist and as head of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases, Ebola is transmitted by passing on bodily fluids such as blood, sweat, feaces, and spit. And Dr. Fauci happens to be one of the key advisors to the White House and US Dept, of Health and Human Services. He surely must have briefed Obama, or he wasn't listening?
We must all make an effort to read up on how Ebola is transmitted from person to person.

It is inexcusable for Obama to have humiliated the Presidents of Africa.
