You do not plant bananas and expect apples. Ghana voted for the NDC, and even after four years of nothing they still voted for them again. The NDC, under Rawlings, did absolutely nothing for 19 years and Ghanaians did not remember that in re-electing the NDC in 2008 and 2012.
But the fault is mostly the opposition parties, especially the NPP. Winning elections and governing are two different things, and the NPP does not seem to have learned that lesson. They lose elections they should win, because of complacency. How do you forget to track the election results to their final conclusion?
NDC has exhibited extreme arrogance in everything they do, but they have succeeded in convincing some Ghanaians that the NPP is the arrogant party. NDC is the most tribal party, but have convinced some Ghanaians that the NPP is a tribal party. NDC is successful because the NPP has been terrible in the basics of politics: elections. You do not govern unless you win elections. NDC remembers that, but the NPP seem to have forgotten that simple principle.

This man isearning my respect evry time .“The impatience with which people lead the country, when that happens it leads you into trouble because this situation will not be solved with a short term solution” he observed.
He advised the government to accept that there is the need to develop a long-term strategy that will comprehensively deal with the problems facing the nation
He however cautioned the opposition parties in the country not to jubilate over the challenges confronting the government, noting that the best way to build a nation is to have all hands on deck."

Paa Kwesi Nduom should stop acting like an uncultured jackass. There are many days in my life I wish there could be forums in Ghana open for public participation when people take to the airwaves to make all the unintelligent and simple minded statements.
Paa Kwesi should tell all of Ghana when and which was the last administration or political party that had revenues or cash on hand that exceeded debt obligations, had highest number of civil servants, the largest pensions obligations, spent and paid for all debts incurred on their time in office prior to leaving their term in office so we can have a clear picture and basis for judgment. The residents in the district Paa Kwesi lives do not have the wherewithal to pay for meaningful development projects based on property taxes in the district and the proof is all over Central region. So Paa Kwesi must explain the wisdom in passing the decentralized rural and urban planning and development scheme that gave us the overbloated government bureaucracy and why in most cases the operating capital for government officials exceed any development in the districts they serve. Dumb Ghanaians will stay dumb, classroom educated Ghanaians withou a clue on what it is they mastered will continue to be fooled by propaganda and those with everything to gain by ensuring abject ignorance of Ghana's voting public will never tell the unvarnished truth. Paa Kwesi is a business man who believes in the lowering of taxes on husiness and he also knows that there is nothing free from government thats not paid for by someone or a segment of society. So Paa Kwesi should lay out how government should pay for the free school gimmick without some government sector taking a hit in cuts and or tell us how government pays for all school building improvement projects without going to beg for foreign loans; we will wait for answers

There is nothing wrong with decentralization, probably the strategy and implementation were flawed. Can you please school us on where all the revenues from the 'exploitation' of resources - gold, diamond, manganese, bauxite, timber, petroleum, the sea, cocoa, the volta lake, etc go. Ghana pop abt 23,000,000) is blessed with all the resources to make a country great but look at what is happening! Can't we also have the freedom to complain or even critize our government? Probably you're benefiting somehow from this maladministration. Search your soul, and tell us the truth.

Most of the revenues from the 'exploitation' of our abundant natural resources go to foreign interests who exploit these resources.
Gov't gets a relatively small proportion of these revenues, which is not enough to meet the increasing needs of our people, hence the need to borrow externally to meet these needs.
The solution is for us Ghanaians to exploit our resources for the benefit of all our people. We must stop giving out concessions to foreigners, and arrest and deport all immigrants engaged in mining illegally. We must standardise accounting systems and their reporting for all foreign companies to ensure full scrutiny of their operations, training our auditors so to do. They must open their books for the past 20 to 30 years to scrutiny, with hefty penalties for tax evasion and avoidance.
