First hire a competent management team. What use is it to have all these talents when they are poorly managed? Currently, Ghana has enough talents to win the world cup. Can someone please tell me what Kwesi Appiah's qualifications are? I have done extensive search and cant find any credentials on him. Even went to his own personal page [kwasiappiah (dot)com/index.php/biography] Remember you get what you pay for.

Ghana to rebuild the Black Stars with Akwasi Appiah as a coach? Forget it. So these sports officials still don't get it that he is not a good coach. This guy can't even coach any of the local teams to place 7th in the league.

It sounds like the 8 million is in the banks as we speak. My brother minister said, this money will be use to build soccer academics around the country. It's a laudable idea coming from the minister. I hope this idea was not born in a narrow corridor which might be spouting some sensationalism in the public. What would be the level of participation by the various regional ministers sports regional heads. They know the needs of each region in the country. And they should not be excluded in the process.I am cueing my skeptism here because such a plan without further assessment will bring certain concentrated ferocity at various levels. The number problem here would be a rueful redundancy. The decision makers have to be careful because there are such programs in place now.If the minister want to furrow this practice and call it soccer academics.
The ten regions can each be giving its share of this 8m so that they embark on the needs and not generalize by saying around the country. I can say this with impunity that at the end it will leave cascading scars amongst those who will fall between the cracks. These soccer academic programs should be linked to general academics and not football academics. I AM FOR NO PASS NO PLAY.We don,t want to produce men and women after football they will be useless in the society.
