Ghanaian are generally not good swimmers but love to show off to friends when they see a yacht, jet ski etc. Safety first is what we should be thinking of not showing off!

Another one of those "miracle" power projects after all the talk about solar and wind. Tidal energy is promising but still experimental. This would be the largest project in the world!!! It is in no way more reliable than solar or wind today. In the best case this is going to be a test case the general public of Ghana will dearly pay for over the following 20 years, or - more likely - another great project which will be abandoned due to the fact that international funds are not available given the dire state of the Ghana currency.

But, how about extension of the grid to the point of generation? Who undertakes the extension to the national grid? Are there future plans to supplement the tidal wave generation with wind, solar and other alternative energy plants, during periods of low tide/wave?
