Dear Nana,
You may have a point, but the REALITY IN GHANA in our present times is: DO WE HAVE ANY EXCELLENT ROLE MODELS FOR THE YOUTH? I DON'T THINK SO!
Nana, who is to give the youth, the needed orientation to approach national development issues with selflessness, commitment and passion? Please, WHO do you have in mind?
Are you per any chance thinking of our misguided leaders who only know about:
1. justifying and defending corruption, selfishness, lack of passion and commitment?
2. justifying and defending airlifting $3 million dollars from Ghana to Brazil; ending up throwing away 17% of the amount (=$512,000.00) to the Brazilian govt?
3. taking up loan and drawing a national budget to procure and supply sanitary pad to school girls? In the very "good old days" when our women did not know about pad and bikini pants, but used "etam" - my grandmother, mom and aunties included, they stayed in school and excelled. Go and ask Dr. Mrs Esther Ocloo and the woman who designed Ghana's National Flag, whether in their days they knew about sanitary pads. They didn't, but stayed hygienic and academic too
4. outdooring a $20 million dollar office edifice/complex at Adabraka, etc., etc.
Nana, NO! No! We don't have any good role models for the youth. No wonder they are getting wayward. You would have thought that the young Ministers would have served as role models, but VERY SADLY they are not - the likes of Felix Ofosu Kwakye, Okudjeto Ablakwa and that lady who wanted to amass wealth through politics. What has happened to her now? All the young and old ministers are no role models. They are fast pushing the Ghanaian system to a precipice of political, social, economic, cultural, spiritual and academic decay.
No wonder NOTHING seems to be working in the country. It is just shameful and pathetic.

I sincerely appreciate and acknowledge the program organized by our leaders and other Traditional Rulers.
The attitude of the youth today is as a results of what the system is made up of. The youth are definitely copying behaviours of their leaders. The leaders of today's Ghana are corrupt, selfish, egoistic, and call all sort of negative attitude. These attitude and behavior of the leaders today have been transcended onto the youth, because that is what the system is made up of. You can't teach and preach virtue and practice vice.
The youth today have done nothing wrong, their attitude is just a manifestation of what the system has inculcated in them. The Bible says a GOOD SEED produces a GOOD FRUIT and a BAD SEED produces a BAD SEED. Our leaders can't sow behavior and expect the youth to be perfect in their call to national duties.
The change should commerce from the very top of our leaders and obviously it will come down to the youth and the generation yet unborn. Remember TALK is CHEAP and ACTION is EXPENSIVE.
Thank you.

Dont't waste our peace ! What example leaders do these youth need to emulate besides Dr. Nkrumah ? The road to selflessness was laid , until this Hooldrum Rawlings, killed to satisfy his needs! Destroying what would be good for the younger generation. Resurrecting in disguise with his NDC ? Killing our paradise, replacing it with Hell, by brainless Manpower and corrupt measures! Ghana today, has no future for the youth , unless, one is part of his NDC, for their victory and its misery. Something is lacking , for ghanaians to understand the evil of this terrorist organisation, and it is the ancient. The prodigal actions of this NDC have relegated the ancient to the positions of inferior, with their lies of a Better Ghana Agenda, inspiring the youth to disobey the ancient, the source of their existence and survival ! Nothing seems to work since the apparition of the concept of this hooldrum Rawlings and the NDC ! Now ,we keep waiting for a sign ,for our peace of mind, even if it will take whatever necessary time to dismantle and eliminate once and for all this cursed party, formed out of hatred and assasinations. The youth can now reconcile with the ancient to live with dignity and with pride once again !

AND A FIRST-CLASS HYPOCRITE! This was the Chief who condemned the use of unnecessarily-long motorcades of luxury cars by ordinary Ministers, and yet he himself had received an SUV from government! Essikadu youth have complained in the media about him not doing anything for the town so no wonder he sees the youth as having lost focus!
Nana Nketsia like the rest of the national parasitic class should remain focused on his various acquisitions - especially his alleged share in the Jubilee Fields exploration block!

Nana, your observation is right. Really sad situation faced by the youth in the country today. 'Na who cause am?' The root cause must be laid squarely at the foot, door step, face or hands of our elders, of which. Nana, you are a big part.
What have the elders, parents, and even our pastors been teaching the youth these days? For all intent and purposes, it's how to get rich quick, no matter how! How to deceive people and get away with it, knowing that there's an elder somewhere who has influence to get you out! Opulence and aggrandizement shown by pastors and leaders who yesterday were in simple cloths, and not having any specific business, tells the youth, the end justifies the means! When little children knows to ask for bribe, or what is in it for me, Nana have you asked yourself, where they might have learnt it from? When parents involve their children in their diabolical activities, or the children sees and know the wrong things done by their parents and relatives, or their friends relatives and no punishment is exacted, what do you think happens in their brains? When our elders, especially the Chiefs put pressure on authorities to plead the wrongs done by people caught and get them freed, without paying any price for the wrongs done, Nana what do you expect the youth to learn? Present elders in Ghana fails woefully on the morality scale, dailies on Honesty, fails on Truthfullness, families on diligence, fails on hard work, and many more. In short our elders have not shown any leadership commitment to teach and transform the youth to do right. The youth have therefore seen the wrongs and believed the wrongs and therefore follows the wrong things. Nana, and your elders, what then do you expect??

Ghana youth has lost focus of their responsibility for lack of patriotic leadership and motivational politic direction and have absolutely lost of any hope.
When the only news the youth hear on our radio, television and press reportage is despicable official corruption and watching unscrupulous appointed officials criminally enriching themselves over-night with impunity with state monies and criminal officials suspiciously paying into individual dirty pockets for no work done whats-over to merit such monies, Nana, from what do you expect the youth to emulate to build national responsibility?
Ghana's social economic and developmental problem is simply lack of visionary political leadership. The youth need a leader that sees the youth as platform to build the nation,s future to invest for skill training and academic education, now!
I strongly think our cultural and traditional custodians has not done or shown concern enough to the pathetic state of our youth especially to the issue of thousands of graduates walking aimlessly without jobs on our streets.

You call yourself Jah Love so why are you spreading lies about Nana Addo? I know the man one on one. I have been to him, interviewed him in my capacity as a journalist and I can tell you with all certainty that Nana is shrewd, intuitive, kind, honest, humble and all the good qualities a man must have. But anyways, all I know is that NDC is scared of Nana Addo because he has the wisdom to reveal all their thievery and criminal activities when he is given the mandate. That is why all NDC supporters seem to be saying what they don't even know about Nana, only to sway voters from Nana to Alan the most notorious puppet of a man, seeking to compete with Nana Addo.
