The money was not given them by the country so why should they die for the country whilst politicians enjoy what is not rightfully theirs ? I beg to differ. May be you may have to explain what you mean when you say people should die for their country and link it to how it applies to this situation. I guess Ghanaians should pay an extra 50% increase in tariffs because they believe they should die for their country.

The missing link here is an equally a competent management team to match the skill set of the players. like the government, the management team is incompetent. The players are the only professionals in this game and should be rewarded promptly for their work. Corruption is so endemic in Africa that many people are failing to realize that the players have the right to be paid promptly for services rendered. Incidentally, such idiocy is not confined to Ghana's management of soccer; players from Nigeria and Cemeroun are experiencing a similar problem of officials messing with their monies. This is now vicariously a FIFA problem - simple as that.

They showed up for work...what can we say about our ever shuffling ministers...when you lack respect for professionalism and skill, then you feel anyone can be Minister...anyone can play soccer... no respect for planning, consistency, high value etc. Its all about who can I cheat for money

We should focus on finding what diverted their attention from the objective we set for them. We have to be surgical and not be destructive else we will create additional problems. The Players played high class football and showed that if they had maintained focus, they would gone far and made history.
