Our FZE is doing very well for mostly European companies. They employ very few people and pay them local wages so why not, they are happy. The GFZE doesn't seem to have any plan to harness local business growth. Our local companies are left at the mercy of Ghana Export Promotion Authority who organize under resourced events outside. They pay full cost of officials from MOTI, EDAIF, AGI, GCCI and in and on and only support the businesses with cost of transporting few goods and stands at fairs, which ae sometimes even donated by the local organizers. The SME business man/woman has to pay for his flight, 10 days hotel, staff allowances for hotel, food etc. we must grow our small businesses and have a plan to put them on the FZE. This way, the foreign money earned will stay in Ghana. For now, these foreigners repatriate all their profits and the
