Those in charge should get the sack. This is Ghana not Npp or NDC. I believe in Rawlings's principle which is 'Accountabilty-Probity-Integrity' and without this principle nothing is done properly.

I can't believe he'll come back and continue as the country's head of football governing body.

Fifa has made the money available to Ghana already so why are they dragging their feet in paying?
I know the government used that money and had to cough it out late, its a disgrace to Ghana but the government are like prostitutes they have no shame, if not why should this happen?

U were in this country when Bamba gate happened, Kick-backs by Esseku, Richard Anane's case, Osafo Marfo signing docs he never understood & so ended up in Hair-dressing saloon. Ghana has had its fair share of not so good governance and military adventurism but never in the history of Ghana has the country been saddled with such worst governance under the Mahama led NDC govt.
This is by far the worst govt ever in the country and clearly the country cannot afford to continue with the type of management beyond 2016. It is sickening and an embarrassment, totally unprecedented in contemporary modern politics in the country. The center cannot hold, with one gaffe after the other attending all aspects of government delivery to the point of a nightmarish joke.

I THOUGHT THERE WAS NO DOLLAR AVAILABLE AT BANK OF GHANA, HOW COME ALL THESE CASH IS BEING TRANSPORTED ON CHARTERED FLIGHT TO BRAZIL.........EH GHANA, NO WONDER THE ECONOMY CANNOT RECOVER, WRONG PRIORITIES.

Once mandatory number of FIFA sanctioned team number [21, 23 or 26] was selected those funds should have been paid to respective players. Why do we wait for threats to boycott, strike or take work stoppage action then cause powers that be to do what they know should have been done, from the get go, [that is the right thing] before they hastily spring into action? Is it not more expensive thereafter? These guys could have been paid their appearance fees in cedis locally, BoG would have kept the dollars to shore up the economy. We charter a plane, pay for fuel & flight crew, security to guard said money & all the logistics that go with it..just to avert disaster. what sort of short term thinking is this? Or were funds sitting in someone's account, accumulating daily or hourly interest, till the gun was placed to the country's head by the players & someone had to cough up the money? Darn,,,system SUCKS!!!!

As a Ghanaian, living abroad I was ashamed to watch on British TV the sting of match fixing involving some high echelons of Ghanaians in football.This was a clear case of greed and mismanagement of public office. All those involved must be arrested upon their arrival in Ghana and relieved of their post (chance will be a fine thing!).
Like you Kweku, I have lost interest in watching any of their future games.
As for the players,their behaviour and attitude on the field was unprofessional to say the least.Any player who is not willing to wear their national colours and justify their inclusion with pride, is not worthy to be called a citizen. Do they understand what it is to represent your country? Do they understand what it means to sing the national anthem and understand what the words mean for the nation?
Why is it always the West African players that seems to have problem with protocol, thus creating consternation for their respective countries? Were the Black Star players not aware of the financial arrangements before honouring their inclusion in the team? Why don't they withdraw their services if they were not happy, at the initial stage, instead of going all the way to Brazil and then " throw their toys out their prams" on the field? can you imagine what would have happened to the Iranian or the South American players if they hold their respective countries to a ransom and subsequently under performed? Do you remenber what happened to a player who missed a penalty during an important game? I am not advocating similar to happen to our players, just using this example to illustrate a point.
Enough should be enough!Our President should lay down the rules and appoint a Minister who is patriotic with the necessary acumen to put our house in order. Henceforth,the players must not be allowed to dictate to the country, but must be made to justify their inclusion in the team.Let's watch the dedication and patriotism of the foreign born players, who are called to represent Ghana too.
Ghana needs to go back to the grass roots with their selection processes and make our objective clear. Let's take an example from the way the Nigerians have comported themselves and played as a unit on the field during this world cup.
Kweku, how about putting yourself forward in taking the role as a Sports Minister for Ghana. Your country needs you!
