There have been reports of no police presence during KNUST examinations especially at the medical school at KATH.
With WASSCE and BECE there is police presence and any student caught cheating is immediately arrested. University exams demand even greater policing.
The Takoradi Poly Students who were sacked for applying with fake certificates must be prosecuted in a court of competent jurisdiction. Just sacking them is not enough.
Nowadays businesses and government organisations have stopped demanding Secondary School Certificate or Basic Education Certificate.
Each of these certificates are important. For example for many tertiary graduates the only certificate that can tell whether one can speak good English or whether one has adequate knowledge of Mathematics is the Secondary School Certificate.
Similarly the only certificate that can tell whether a tertiary graduate has basic knowledge of Ghanaian history, culture, agriculture and the basic geography of West Africa is the Basic Education Certificate.

it was actually the Ghanaian directors and managers at Kosmos energy who are fighting the younger workers against high salaries! they just watched idly while the white ppl just sacked about half of the workers ! most of them hardworking junior staff with no affiliations in the company. The managers and directors were more than happy to see staff that they did not bring to kosmos go home / and the sad part of it all was that, their salaries will be increased. I know for a fact that a lot of these ppl were using their salaries to set up businesses which would add to Ghana's growth. if anyone talks about Kosmos energy, let them also talk about our tribal Ghanaian Directors and managers (greedy and selfish)
