But what KEVIN is saying here makes me cast doubt on why KWESI APPIAH delayed them from coming to help.
For WARRIS,I THOUGHT HE NEEDED SOME MORE TIME TO GET FIT,so he could be well and profitably used in GERMANS' DEBUT.
I don't understand the coach's stance here,in the delay-tactics displayed.
Was he confused in his decision-making,after the first unwelcomed,unfortunate,uncelebrated goal?
NERVES COULD TAKE THE BETTER HALF OF SOMEONE IN A PLATFORM LIKE THIS.
Kwesi Appiah,I guess,was one of those,at that material time,he rather needed faith,to affect that circumstance.
I think,he needed encouragement and confidence of his technical team,to make some decisions he had never thought of making before,to do the impossible,at that time.
But,they all succumbed and settled for mediocrity.

Muntari should have been substituted 60mins as after he was kicking and standing watching USA move the ball in our last third. Rabiu and Muntari positional tactics where not coordinated they all followed the ball leaving the middle free and Germans will kill us 10-0. Suggestion put Kwadwo left middle, Rabiu defensive middle, Badu right middle. striker winger left Andre, Gyan, boateng right striker winger. Muntari/essien should both never be on pitch at the same time.Boateng should be taken off after 60mins or earlier if he is turning around instead of taking on the german defenders or shooting for glory. For 442 play essien behind Gyan as he will not fall back but only attack and shoot nicely. 60 mins take him out and put in the attackers Atsu, Jordan. Play splitting pass by Mertersacker he can not turn and run. this should be the tactics for Ghana-Arsenal. Muntari should rest. Question why is Badu not playing is he still being punished from CAN mistake?

Let's face it either our coach was being just plain lazy or he doesn't possess the mental ability to be a national head coach.
US coach talk about Ghana's high individual quality bcos he knew it's our weakness.
Dumb as I am about soccer, I knew the game would be won in the first 15mins. We just needed the experience players in there to calm things down. If a team scores a 98% ball possession mark in a match and still looses that match, no FIFA rule will save that team (which had the 98%). We possessed the ball for most part of the game, we won most of the 50-50 balls and our passes were good...Everything was fantastic but still, per the FIFA rules, US carried the day! Our superior ball possession is complete USELESS. You don't play a World Cup match to entertain; you play to win. The US Coach designed his winning strategy, carried it through and won the match. He didn't win the match against anybody's "run of play"...We can keep "our run of play" other teams will continue to win against "our run of play" and we'll just go home.

It is as if the defense on the left froze and allowed one of the fastest goals in WC history to be scored...poor day!!!

AA, Ghana feels let down. Ghana’s first game against the USA could have been won, or worse case a draw. You could have done that with your first 11……..do you have a first 11? Of course you do. What is holding you back from playing the top players you have invited to camp. Your first 11 must have played in one of the friendlies…did they?

I hope this is a blessing in disguise….but poor decisions have tripled the difficulty of going through the group. Why should we settle for the most difficult path over the manageable route. Beating Germany and Portugal is possible but it is not going to be a walk in the park.

So much money, effort and preparation has gone into this WC for the Black Stars to bring joy to the people in Ghana…now that spirit has been dampened. The interest in fielding debuttantes in order to market them has cost a whole nation.

I had to call my sister yesterday afternoon all the way in South Africa to tell her that the US will beat us after watching a 2 hour documentary on ESPN about the USA preparation for the world Cup which started with intensive preparations in March 2014 and is still ongoing. We only grouped our players on 25 May and talk about going to the finals, No way, I was so convinced after watching the documentary that they will beat us so I called my sister to relay my fears and surely they beat us. she was confident we will scrape through and I said a draw for us will b a lucky thing. We all saw what happened, we lost. There was no urgency in our game.
What a poor performance especially Opare who I always admired. I blame him for the first goal. It was his error that lead to the throw in and subsequent goal. He we even drawn this game, we will still leave at the group stage but of course a draw would've been good. If we had Accam in the game, he would run into the 18 with the ball all the time and win us a chance if not a goal. We lacked that. Look at Adomah's poor contribution. Kwarasey was also very poor with areal balls, Olele would have death with them better. Watch his clips in the 2010 games and you will see how he came in to punch and challenge for arial balls. This is y we needed Olele. Boye and Kwarasey were at fault for the 2nd goal. He failed to challenge his marker who then headed the ball into the nex. Had Kwarasey come out to fist it as he has good height, the guy wouldn't ve headed it in the first place. Coach and back room Staff should be sacked to make way for a better local coach who has vast international experience and competitions if we still maintain the local coaches agenda. We could all see clearly that the USA wanted the win more than us from the way their coach directed the game from the bench. Now they will beat us at every senior tournament.

One of the problem is the lack of leadership at the defence. it seems like it always take them sometime to warm themselves into the game, and we paid dearly. For christ sake we should stop hyping Prince Boateng. The Kp once upon a time we knew is not the same KP of today. He gets so busy and aggressive yet his input does not acheive any optimum result. Lets call a spade a spade; Essien has lost his salt and i will go for Rabiu any day than Essien. We lost; we are all sad, but that is just the way life goes. We've beaten then on two occassions, don't expect us to beat them all the time. we were just not lucky. we could have won this match. I agree, Opara should be benched. Hmmm, miss Akaminko. However, when we call ourselves professionals, we must not only bear the title but also prove ourselves that indeed we are. 32 seconds in the game , came a goal, what did the players do on the field for the rest of 94 minutes 28 seconds. What if Essien and Prince were not part of the team? What would have happened? still find people to blame? Does anyone want to tell me that he/she cannot survive without their parents knowing that they will not be there forever in our lives? Anybody who calls himself a professional player must be discipline and good enough to gel with any system, create chances and achieve the ultimate goal which is to sore goals and that is where we failed . If we don't stop the blame game, then we are doomed to pay a infinite price for our beliefs. I am not backing the coach . The explanation he gave was valid and was tactical. The players who were given the chance should have performed to standard but failed. I am a player and I know what players can do if they want to. Please let us all have an open mind and analyse. Anytime we say things out of anger, we tend to say things that sometimes after, we regret it later but damage might already have been done. The decision to select players lies with the coach and that is exactly what coach Appiah did. If Kevin does not understand, he can go to Hell!
The coach selected player who on the whole played very well. The whole world is praising Ghana's soccer skills. As for the loss, even Morinho, the coach who calls himself the "special one" does lose games. So what is the fuss about. Could Kevin have stopped the goal if he was part of the team that played in the first half? After all, he did nothing to stop the second goal!

I warned of the US Defense's surge for Goals with headers, especially in Corners and Crosses, and the need for the Stars to rapidly cover up for themselves in the back. There were many instances where our Mid-Field was virtually empty, devoid of the presence of our Players. Such gaps gave the US Team more than ample room to regroup and reset their offense. I warned of their Mid-Field being very resourceful. That pass to Dempsey could have been intercepted by the Stars if close attention to their Mid-Field were paid from the very beginning. Anyway, we cannot undo what has been done.

But I must also question the timeliness or sharpness of the Goalkeeper, Kwarasey, in reaching for a ball. His response time is considerably tardy. I observed that he hardly ever went to punch away balls in situations as cost us our last goal.

If the Goalkeeper had intercepted and punched the ball away in that last corner-kick, we would have been able to get away with a Draw. He allowed himself to be boxed in.

The Germans, sadly, WON'T budge for us. Period! And even if we pull a draw with them, it might be too late. Portugal will emphatically crush the USA to stay alive, and if they win that game, they will need only a Draw with us leap into the next round. USA cannot defeat the Germans. A Draw is even unimaginable in that Game, not even if Klinsman sang Bach to his partriachal home's Team for mercy to allow his US Team dance around to show a little prowess.

Akwasi Appiah should have featured Kevin and Essien from the very beginning and inserted Adoma in at the front to revitalize power later. We could have earned some goals earlier and kept taunting the US Team till the end.

My preferred Starting line-up is: K. Asamoah at Left Flank, Ayew Sr. at #10 position, Asamoah Gyan at Center, Kevin at #8, Adomah at Right Flank. The Mid-Field would be filled with Muntari at #6, Essien at #4, Jon Mensah at #3, and Paintsil at #2. The Goalkeeper would be Fatau Dauda (for his courage and aggressiveness).

Well, "it is not over until its is over", says a departed US Baseball hero. So, let's hope for a miraculous turn-around for the Stars. Our winning spirit might come back to save us.

The coach need some more coaching lessons. He is not a strategist nor a good game 'reader'. Klinsmann is a better coach than Akwasi Appiah.
Atsu was the man of the game. He is a fantastic player but his judgements need more attention. Ghanaian footballers must learn to handle the ball. They couldn't dribble nor could they run fast with the ball.
I don't think Ghana can handle Germany if we continue like this.
In the nutshell, I congratulate our boys and not the technical team.
