Has the lawyer of 30 years ever heard of eminent domain-The power to take private property for public use by state so long as just compensation is paid?
How much is the chief demanding?

It is interesting to see the comments posted by people accusing the chief of working against the interest of the country. The reality is that it is in the interest of the country for all organizations, including those that are owned by the government to respect the rule of law, without this respect we will have anarchy and Ghana will never be able to attract investments and grow its economy. The solution is simple and is laid out in the court order, approach the Paramount Chief negotiate the cost of the land so both parties can go back to the courts and get the injunction lifted. It is not difficult. for those who are criticizing the Chief what would you do if it was your land that had been taken and after 2 years you had not been paid for the land a company had started building on? The law is there to protect both the rich and poor / weak and strong and the respect of it is essential for the peace, democracy we Ghanaians have so strongly fought for over the years. If the AG's office and GNGC continue down the path to ignore the rule of law then I fear we will be taking Ghana to place we do not need or want to go to.

there is no law in Ghana that warrant the state to seize property for public use without notifying and paying due conpensation to the rightful owners of such property.

I find it really, very difficult to understand the level of her thinking as a lawyer. Please get rid of this law student before she commits any more disgraceful nuisance. Is she getting paid privately to pervert the cause of justice in GHANA as an A.G?. Is she mad or there is something seriously wrong with her?.
