The CPP also put economic policy alternatives, including:
Fellow citizens, we present these alternate development policy prescriptions to promote balanced growth of our economy and prosperity for our people. We view this as an obligation that is in compliance with our constitutional duty as an official opposition party.
1. The Bank of Ghana as a Development Agent
The central bank must abandon its current inflation targeting policy (achieving single digit inflation) in favour of targeting employment creation to support an inclusive growth in the manufacturing and agricultural sectors.
2. Exchange Rate Policy
The CPP believes that government should abandon the current floating exchange rate policy in favour of a semi-fixed exchange rate policy that promotes exports and supports the competitiveness of domestic production. The policy measure will also ensure fiscal discipline and preclude the use of scarce resources to intervene in the foreign exchange market
3. High Commercial Bank Interest Rate.
The CPP is convinced that the Bank of Ghana must introduce a ‘cap on interest rate spread with the aim to offer lower rates to our local manufacturers to promote their competitiveness in international markets.
4. Manufacturing and agricultural sectors
To address our country’s current weakness in value addition and manufacturing, the CPP would build a competitive manufacturing capacity and promote the modernisation of agriculture to achieve a sustainable structural economic transformation.
5. Trade liberalisation
We are committed to reviewing our current trade liberalization policy to ensure that trade liberalization is consistent with our long term objective of changing the structure of the Ghanaian economy from one dependent on raw materials to value-added manufactured export. A CPP government will use selected import restrictions and import tariffs to reduce our excessive consumption of imported goods to the detriment of local manufactured products.
Fellow citizens, the prosperity of our nation will not be achieved by an implementation of the incoherent policy mix of the Senchi Consensus but by an election of a CPP government that would continue its development achievements in pursuit of its development philosophy of de-colonisation to change the structure of our economy.

mahama was a mistake choice that believe me most even in their God forsaken ndc party truly regret . Mills was murdered so that pepeni and ayigbe idiots could get their hands on power and money . now we all see what they are really doing soon they will be swept away and never again will any of them even come close to any official institution of state . mahama and his brothers after financial forensic investigations will be the first president to get a life sentence for corruption and crimes against the state . the alternative is a bloody revolution and war forget a peaceful transition of power as the will definitely try to proclaim victory by rigging the elections with the help of national security .This time the people will not be taken for a ride as we saw with the glorious demonstration in Kumasi the other day, the Ashantis have finally made us proud .Yes what have WE AKANS done to deserve such a stinking foul corrupt thieving pepeni/ayigbe kum Ga govt on our heads ? A whole police chief no dey see top when the people the people started to spontaneous arrive and they no go see top when this is organized nationwide with the help of all progressive political forces that do not agree with the daylight robbery corruption we are see today . If they even dream of shooting just one bullet we shall turn the demo bloody and deal with them all . We Akans are tired of being cheated and we will get justice and freedom whether they like it or not . Their police in their uniforms of brutality can not frighten us as we have nothing to loose , they have made life so hard that it cant get any worse . we are fed up with their incompetence , selfishness ,lies and hate .

There is no basis for what you say.The CPP knows what they are talking about and how to do it. They are guided by well founded policy directions. And above all they have done it before and can do it again.

Time changes, events happen. So you cannot sit static that is because you have manifesto, that will do, it will not. The single spine salary structure was not part of NDC's, manifesto yet because Kufour slipped it onto the desk of the incoming NDC before he left, NDC was put in a fix. that is why if there are problems, dialogue with the beneficiaries becomes paramount

The disappointment by NDC of all of us who voted for them is too bitter. CPP is the only way forward now for us and Ghana.

The NDC is clueless. It talks about support for locally made goods but does not have an idea how it can make local production competitive in relation to imports. Their ignorance/duplicity/hypocricy is clear because they do not appreciate the fact that the the macro economic management policies they pursue supports imports at the expense of domestic production. This government is inept, corrupt, deceptive and hypocritical. The CPP is showing the way to a prosperous nation,
