Any buffoon in the NDC could have performed better than the Father Christmas who has every opportunity under his ambit to have turned Ghana into a paradise on earth but chose to give away our monies to friends( the Ghana-Guinea-Mali nonsense)in the name of continental African Unity. He inherited lots of money for a new Ghana whose population was just a little over 3-million. Our agricultural sector was booming as Ghana was leading in the production of cocoa in the world. Our diamond, gold, bauxite, manganese, coffee and timber were hot commodities were red hot on the international market. He readily had funds to initiate projects without any external assistance. He supplied electricity to Togo, Benin and lvory Coast at a time when more than 2 thirds of Ghana were in total darkness. African of the millenium indeed. Nkrumah appeared great in the African continent because he had lots of money to freely travel at will, given speeches here and there just showcase his oratory skills, displayed his Afrocentric guts and always venting his anger at the West. Yet we have some people loitering on this forum,the so called " scarab beetles" claiming to have authority on Nkrumah scholastic works. Go ahead and deceive yourselves if you think the prevailing conditions today will support the moribund ideology of the brutal dictator who made the opposition prisoners in their own country. What is more annoying is when he declared himself life president as if he was the alpha and omega of all wisdom in the black continent. Give us a break!

He urged politicians to eschew cronyism and work to satisfy the masses who vote them into power as neglect of the masses after elections make them distrust them.

Nobody can hide the light and true destiny of the great nation of Akan. they use all kinds of schemes and tricks to undermine or deny a proper standard to us but we shall never surrender. we shall change and adapt as like the Israelis we are the chosen people of God and he in his great design has made us diverse but unified in spirit. the ashantis like the tribe of Judah are and will remain an integral part of our being to to attack any one part we all end up feeling it sooner or later. they have succeed in turning some of our chiefs and kings against us and work for their evil ungodly agenda but we still see clearly . God has brought us into the 21st century and with that a new system of governance and state of mind based on democracy since it is HE alone who blesses the individuals with the gift of leadership wisdom and justice irrespective of status at birth. he has shown us the blue print of the way forward in the bible and other holy books and the time has come to free ourselves from this man made bondage called Ghana. just as in the Ukraine we must fight so the truth will come out , fear not the battle as they will crumble like the walls of Jericho . cast away our so called fake leaders and politicians who are nothing but cowards and like our enemies fear even their own shadows . yes God has put a million fears in their empty bodies as he who does not fear the Lord , the Lord will ensure all fears of the world will reside in him. They threaten us with superstition , juju and what have you and we say fuck you and go to hell as the divine power is with us . Yes all the tribes of Akan are fingers on the same hands and God has ordained we remain united so our strength and light will be visible throughout the whole world and universe , our time has come . everyday its becoming clearer and clearer to all children of Akan that we must prepare mentally for a battle of freedom . they come with tricks that say we must take a non Akan as our leader because its nice ? do they not think that out of 30 million Akans we can not find sensible down to earth leaders and warriors to lead our own people to our own destiny? a govt of the people and by the people is what the 21st century democracy is all about . let them continue to play with the consensus and other figures that justify their fantasy and enable them to marginalize the participation of the Akan majority in the Affairs of their own land , to marginalize us thus preventing us to afford a better standard for our people . The had of God has given them pestilence after pestilence but they refuse to let our people go , soon they will be swept away like chaff in the hurricane of fury . Long live the republic of Akan and don't you forget it as now the Fanti speakers, Twi speakers, Ashantis and other tribes of Akan are now one .

If you were a true democrat, you would respect the democratic decisions of the Parliament of the 1st Republic in the same way that we also respect the democratic decision of Kufuor to 'freely' give-away to foreigners, state organizations which had been built and set up with the blood, sweat and tears of the people of Ghana.

Ghana suffered and continue to suffer as a result of his over ambitious and un achievable idea to unite Africa thinking that he would be made president.
Whilst trying to unite Africa,he was dividing Ghana by interfering with the chieftency affairs which to date have left and created bitter disputes and frictions in many Ghanaian families,towns.villages and communities.
Kwame Nkrumah was the true enemy of Ghana and anybody disputing this,must have his/her brain checked.
When mistakes are made,it takes time for one to feel the effects and we're now suffering from Nkrumah's reckless and ill thought of rule of our country.
Had he thought reasonably and focused on building Ghana after colonial rule,we wouldn't be in these shambles and mess.He wasted our resources unwisely so Akosa and all others who keep portraying Nkrumah as the best thing to have ever happened to Ghana,please think well and give us a break like Mr.Figure-Out said.

The Ashanti/Akyem group have vowed that apart from them no other group has any right to rule Ghana so they must make it impossible for them to rule. It gets worse when they get a gentle president like JM and just take advantage of it and go over board.

NPP actually did a lot for the poor in Ghana by way of massive and effective social intervention programs, all of which the NDC, who rather call themselves social democrats, have come to destroy: the NHIS, the Free Maternal Care, School feeding, capitation grant, metro mass, NYEP, etc. Did anything like SADA, GYEEDA, Subah, Woyome,Waterville, CP, Fortiz-Merchant Bank, and all the open and shameless corruption and scams of today happen under NPP? If the CPP have any political wisdom, no one should tell them that they can only win power in Ghana when the NDC is no more! In the last two elections, the CPP rather foolishly gave their support to the NDC because they have no understanding of the current political dynamics in Ghana. In the 2008 elections, if NDC had lost the second round, that evil, incompetent party would have disintegrated and majority of its supporters would have directed their allegiance to the CPP! If the CPP really means to come back to power, they should now start speaking strongly against the NDC's total failure to move the nation forward. If the CPP are truly serious about seeing Ghana move forward again, they should start supporting the NPP now to get rid of the NDC forever, as that is the only way the CPP can reverse its dwindled fortunes and gain some political clout. Between the devil (NDC) and the deep blue sea (NPP), political wisdom shows that the CPP should go for the deep blue sea. The NDC is the common enemy. The political rivalry in Ghana ought to be between the NPP and the CPP, both of whom have capable and proven brains that can help develop the nation, and not the highly incompetent gang of pretenders and fraudsters whose only agenda is to create, loot and share the people's blood, sweat and tears! This was until Kwame Nkrumah stepped in and introduced freedom, justice and democracy to us all. may the Good Lord Bless his departed soul.

The CPP ruled for 9 years and did quite well but not well enough with the wealth of the nationt at its disposal by the time of independence. Judging by that time's standards that was a lot of money the Brits left us yet we failed to maximize our opportunities . Some of that money was squandered in profligate spending. What was tagged as 'Prestige Projects' at the time were unnecessary and wasteful spending . Our abundant mineral wealth was mismanaged by the administration. Socialism which was adopted by the CPP administration slowed our rate of progress. The political system, the politicization of everything and the victimization of political opponents did not produce an enabling environment for rapid development.
The NPP inherited the huge mess created by the ineptitude and misrule of the Rawlings administration (1982-2000) and did quite well digging the nation out of the deep hole. They introduced and succeeded with some innovation by introducing some social intervention policies which were generally successful. They could have done a lot better.
Ineptitude, greed and corruption has defined the performance of the present NDC administration and the least said about what's well known to all ghsnaians the better.
The P/NDC have ruled the longest, borrowed more external loans than all administrations combined since 1957 yet have the least to show in terms of development.
What's common to all of these administrations however is the issue of corruption. There's not much we can do when corruption is so widespread. Instead of spearheading the fight against corruption the NDC administration has become the facilitators, the vehicle, the agents, creating the enabling environment for it.
The blame game will not help us at this time, professor. If your party has found better ways of growing the dilapidated economy and putting the brakes on unbridled corruption we'll be too glad to hear it and if we find them sensible and realistic we'll be too glad to assist your party to come back to power.

I hope our oppressors are paying you well when you spread their false rumours such as them leaving money at the time of independence in Nkrumahs care. If you have had any reasonable level of education, common-sense alone would tell you that this was not possible. If you had eyes to see and a brain to think properly, you would not say such a thing.

People like you should be left alone to continue sleep-walking throughout their lives.
