Some you hypocrites come out under pressure to tell lies so as to keep your jobs - intellectual dishonesty. How long can you continue to sell your conscience at the expense of the downtrodden masses. You will not be in that seat forever, rather be honest and keep your respect, if any.

I have said time and time again that the generator mafia is behind all this. I have also said that Ghanaians go to the polls without asking for accountability. The politicians know we don't joke with our Easter and Christmas. How come we get constant power during these periods? Where have they hidden that magic?
The world cup is close, and they know Ghanaman does not joke with his soccer, So they are making arrangements to get the magic going!!

GHANA HAS BEEN RAPED BY NDC IDIOTS. WE DO NOT NEED ANY NATIONAL ECONOMIC FORUM, WE NEED A NATIONAL COURT OF JURISDICTION TO PUT MAHAMA AND HIS CABINET ON TRIAL. GHANA'S HOPELESS ECONOMIC SITUATION, TODAY, IS TOTALLY UNACCEPTABLE. NDC HAS OVER THE PAST 5 YEARS PRESIDED OVER THE BIGGEST RESOURCES IN OUR HISTORY INCLUDING CRUDE OIL & STEALTH TAXES. THEY HAVE ALSO CONTRACTED THE BIGGEST LOANS IN OUR HISTORY. IF THEY HAVE NOTHING TO SHOW FOR THIS AND THE ECONOMY IS IN SHAMBLES, THEN,THEY MUST BE PROSECUTED. THEY MUST GIVE THE MONEYS BACK TO THE TREASURY. WE DO NOT NEED ANY ECONOMIC FORUM. SET UP A COURT IMMEDIATELY. IT HAPPENED IN THAILAND RECENTLY, PRIME MINISTER YINGLUCK SHINAWATRA WAS REMOVED BY THE CONSTITUTIONAL COURT FOR ABUSING POWER. LOOK AT GHANA, EMBRAER PLANE SCANDAL, STX KOREA, SUBAH, GYEEDA, WOYOMI, ISOFOTON, WATERVILLE, AFRICA AUTOMOBILE, CP, SADA, FORTIZ/MERCHANT BANK, AKONFEM AND A HOST OF OTHER DODGY JUDGEMENT DEBT PAYMENTS. BUYING VOTES WITH CASH, LAND CRUISERS & LAPTOPS JUST TO WIN ELECTIONS. WHY NDC?????? WHY??? OUR SUPREME COURT COULD NOT HELP BUT DESCRIBED IT AS "ALLIANCE TO CREATE, LOOT AND SHARE" WHAT A SHAME? ?? AND YOU CALLING GHANAIANS TO A WASTEFUL ECONOMIC FORUM. NDC, THE MONEY IS WITH YOU, GIVE IT BACK TO GHANA. NPP, I SALUTE YOUR COURAGE FOR NOT ATTENDING. NPP REMAIN SMART AND VIGILANT!!!!!!

President who reposed so much trust and confidence in him by elevating him to the top position when Awotwe`s term ended. And where has he been all this while, when officials from his outfit kept inundating us with all manner of ridiculous excuses?
And does he believe he is helping the
situation with his own version of weird statements? How on earth can you talk about a "planned" shoutdown invloving close to 35% of your entire generation capcity, and yet not be able to give neither your customers nor the regulator -PURC - any credible advance notification?
Who is Mr. Koffi attempting to deceive here with these such vague assurances which we have heard time and again?
I believe the VRA needs some serious work to do in revamping its atrocious institutional culture; people working within that organization have become 'too comfortable', believing they are sufficiently 'immunized' from any form of political or market control owing to their sheer size!
But I think they may have overplayed their hand in this game of constant excuses. Mr. Koffi, your assurances have come a little too late, and you need a better a much better performance than this late appearance on nation-wide TV,in your vain attempt to win over the public. Good luck!

"The Convention People's Party must mobilize our total manpower for the industrial, economic, technological and scientific reconstruction of Ghana, so that we can produce the necessary conditions which shall mean an abundance of every good thing for our people and the greatest welfare of the masses." The CPP Twelfth Anniversary: A Message by Osagyefo 1961 (Accra, Ghana Government Printer)
""We have the blessing of the wealth of our vast resources, the power of our talents and the potentialities of our people. Let us grasp now the opportunities before us and meet the challenge to our survival. " Address to the National Assembly. 26 March 1965"
"Africa is a paradox which illustrates and highlights neo-colonialism. Her earth is rich, yet the products that come from above and below the soil continue to enrich, not Africans predominantly, but groups and individuals who operate to Africa’s impoverishment.”..Kwame Nkrumah

The VRA boss is holidaying while Ghana is in darkness. VRA and government need to make solar energy as popular as the cell phone. Make renewable energy part and parcel of construction of all new houses, schools, hospital etc.

ahh, I understand: The light off in Ghana since 1960 is temporary and by the way, it`s the consumers fault, because they have no attetude to conserve energy! I see. This must be the temporary problem!

We are not being told the truth.
In the load shedding exercise it is imperative that some key areas be left out. This should include where the three arms of government work and reside like Sakumono where MPs (representatives) reside and flag staff house and osu castle where the President works and resides. Where the chief justice works and resides should also be included. It should also include the premises of key government institutions like ministries. We need to quadruple our electricity production within the next four years but not through foreign investors.
Ghana has three hydroelectric dams: Akosombo dam, Kpong hydroelectric dam and the newly constructed Bui dam. Aside this we have the Aboadze power and Takoradi power plants. I am sure by now we can all conclude that the decision to invest in the West Africa Gas Pipeline was not a prudent one because Nigeria has admitted that Nigerians would not be able to supply us with the gas that we need.
However what is disturbing is that the additional power being generated is not being used by our industries or consumers. We supply Togo, Benin and Nigeria through two grids one in the south and one in the North. We also supply ivory coast and Burkina Faso with electricity. Inspite of this the cost of electricity to the average consumer has not declined and many would tell you that it is very expensive. There is another thing I don't understand. The government sometimes tells us there is power crises meanwhile electricity supply to other countries from Ghana continues unabated.
A look at the map of the national electricity grid would tell you straight away that the at least 12 Akyem districts in the Eastern Region which make up more than half the population of the region have been cheated.
