Because of a Rawlings and people like PV, there have been too many coffins already. Let us also continue to mourn all the countless people who vanished under the PNDC, which PV presided as the Prime Minister.

Let's rather mourn for the millions of Ghanaian people whose lives were affected during that time. The Ghanaian people need not celebrate about this murderers death, but rather to mourn for all the millions of Ghanaian people who were tortured, imprisoned, humiliated and perished under the PNDC.

Hey Max,
I wish people will be as straight forward as you have been.
Heaving and piling accolades on someone who was obviously the defacto prime minister under a murderous regime like Rawlings', do not help heal the wounds that regime inflicted on a lot of Ghanaian families.
Why is it that in our society, we can never call a spade a spade? Simply put, PV was a murderer just as Rawlings was even if he didn't personally take part in the murderous rampages Rawlings' regime
unleashed unto Ghanaians, by association alone, he was guilty. Period.
Now he dies like a dog in the street and everyone is trying to make him look like he was a saint. His death is a form of debt collection from the hundreds of souls and lives that he helped cut short. It took a while for 'justice' to take its course but it eventually happened and now his family would have an inkling of how the families of those he helped kill felt when they lost loved ones through murder.
His family should be happy that he didn't die at the hands of someone who put a gun to his head and pulled the trigger. They can also enjoy the loot that he stole from the national coffers and hid in offshore accounts.
The evil that men do lives after them and sometimes crosses generations so all his offsprings should be aware that the curse of the evil deeds by PV doesn't stop with or at his death. They are also in the crosshairs of this curse. The "debt collectors" are not done yet.
Rawlings.... are you listening or reading this?

But is he really very useful to Ghana?
PV Obeng has been around the corridors of power for 35 years --- take away the 8 years of Kufuor.
PV Obeng has advised Mills/Mahama and Ghanas economy is in complete tatters—underdevelopment, unemployment, power problems, industrial meltdown, low morale, reckless governance
Did he really contribute to Ghanas development?
Did he really contribute to Ghana’s underdevelopment and reckless governance?
I am no sure.
PV is gone Ghana has lost nothing
