Observers, electoral overhaul, independent auditor, 7 days to declare election results; free and fair elections are made possible because the critical mass of the people of a nation have made up their mind, no matter what, to have free and fair elections.

The sad fact of the matter is that, Nana Addo, Ghana DOES NOT HAVE THAT CRITICAL MASS OF PEOPLE - people with the correct democratic attitude to engage in free and fair elections. We really have to work hard on that to make that happen.

In this modern era? What are computers for? To start with, Ghana is way ahead of South Africa, when it comes to elections, and electoral processes(Ref:Analysis/Observation: Carter Foundation)

Secondly,South Africa is by far bigger in population than Ghana, so to think that we can wait for a week for a few million votes to be counted and collated would be seen as an act of laziness.

It is right that Ghana needs reforms, but with our current system we do NOT need any thing from S. Africa. It is rather S. Africa that needs to learn from us considering how skewed their electoral process is.

Ghana is one of the very few countries in the world to use the biometric machines, to identify voters...(NOT EVEN USED IN THE USA) which to me phenomenal. I have witnessed two elections in South Africa and I bet you, they are no where close to Ghana at all.Why do you think the ANC always wins the elections and the rest cry foul? The only security measure the S. Africans use is running voters thumbs under ultra violet rays/light to check if they have already voted.
