I wonder if people have realised that we are facing doom if Ghana defies Nigeria and signs the EPA? Nigeria will simply turn off the gas and we shall have permanent dumso dumso!

How is the ex-President going to honour his pledge? He is no longer in charge of Brazil's purse, and the country is facing problems of its own. He was only being diplomatic. It is only greedy fools who squander all they have and expect others to come to their rescue with what those others have sacrificed to save for their people. Dream on if you wish .... it is an empty pledge.

We should not expect material aid from Brazil. In that respect, you could be right that Lula da Silva's current status may not yield much to help us. However, such proven successful leaders have invaluable trophs of potent ideas that they could share. In fact, all Ghana needs is a certain discipline to manage our Economy sensibly, and that includes plugging up the leakages in our System, like Corruption, pilfering and mismanagement.
Our Government can learn how to instil that discipline among our Institutions and Officials. Eventually, when that is taken care of, the Economy would grow to offer us the material wherewithal to finance our Projects economically.
Long Live Ghana!!!

If the leaders ignore the everyday problems facing everyday people in the country, no one can save the economy. Maintain a clean environment, enforce the simple rules of road traffic, avoid noise pollution & filthy surroundings. EVERY CITY SHOULD START A BEAUTIFICATION PROJECT to clean up. The market places in Tema Main market should be bulldozed & rebuilt - that's development Ghana can start on it's own.

Aside from the Socialist streaks in both Lula da Silva's and Mahama's Political projections, they both seem to be very deeply enthused with personal success, which is at the core of Capitalist Democracy. That bodes well for those who think of the NDC Administration as too Socialist leaning. Our freedom and right to be entrepreneurial would not be impaired. To foreign Investors who might otherwise be scared away by any our call for self-reliance at home, we should also assure them that we only want fair deals. We should not shun Foreign Investments. But we must be firm on our demand for fairness. We have been taken for a ride for far too long.
So, hopefully, Mahama would take the offer from Luiz very seriously and waste no time in adopting the most potent of the latter's ideas to accelerate our development. What I note very conspicuoulsy about Brazil's advancement is her simultaneous priority on strengthening relevant Education and tapping into home-grown Technical and Business acumen to undertake major projects.
With a little more patriotism and a great deal more of checking Corruption, we would be in the right mental frame to take up the challenges. We should invite all cleans hands on board.

Our leaders are not ready for development. Do they need some one to tell them we need commercial farming to boost agriculture and food self-sufficiency in Ghana and also turn from old raw material based of economy into industrial economy to transform our nation to another level of development to solve the economy challenges facing the nation and create jobs for our youth today and future to improve the living standard of Ghanaians? They know the right thing but they will never do it. They only come to power for their pockets. Mr.Lula will you come and do it yourself or you will support them (our leaders) with your ideas from Brazil? Please don't waste your time. If you send money, they will share it,ideas they will never apply. Thank you Mr.Lula for your concerned.
