  I am from the Netherlands and do not have Ghanaian roots (you call me obruni). These are the reasons I see for westerners to stay away from Ghana:
  
  - Africa has a bad reputation: crime, poverty, safety, health, etc. People do not know Ghana is better than other countries. For example, they fear for muslim extremists and high crime rates. They do not know that Ghana is safer than Nigeria, Sudan or Somalia.
  
  - In Ghana people are less sanitary. We can never trust your food or water. This is not nice for tourists.
  
  - Westerners demand a lot of well-organized services, whereas Ghanaians are more relaxed. We do not like that, because we like everything to be organized and reliable. If we cannot trust you, we will not visit you.
  
  - People do not think of Ghana as a nice place to relax, but as a place for wild adventures. But many tourists do not want adventure, they want to relax.
  
  Ghana should become the new Turkey, Egypt or Tunisia (before the revolution). It should make Europeans think of luxury and comfort. Not adventure, crime and sickness.
