the problem with this northern mentality is that thanks to jj they now all have an unquenchable thirst for power but never to serve in a team or accept their fellow countrymen . just look around in Accra and study the majority of the businesses owned by these northerners and in the majority of the medium and Small sized businesses you notice they only employ their fellow northerners and practically never employ an Akan . Today in Accra the largest religious building in the country will be the mosque being build on our national park at Nima donated by Turkey confirming the Islamic domination of Ghana. Tribalism mixed with chauvinism and despotism from the north has now equaled the hegemony of the ewes . A.C.C.R.A any criminal can roam about so we have them everywhere now . even at the scholarship secretariat hardly ever is an Akan awarded the privilege to go abroad and study now . The Akans are the majority but because most continue to sleep or blindly trust the other tribes these atrocities are taking place . We look at the political strategy of the NDC and see the typical Hannibal wench when he turned the strengths of the mighty Roman army against themselves as they are doing to the Akans . From the south they use part of the Fantis and from the North the Brongs , from behind we have the chariot onslaught of the Gas Ewes Krobos. Yes the political landscape reflects a war which is only meant to destroy the right of self governance of the God's chosen nation of Africa the Akan . For them its a big deal who leads the NPP but we really don't care as our movement grows stronger by the hour as more and more Akans wake up to reality of this dire situation . We did not ask for this war but we will fight it and be victorious as God is with us . Long live the Republic of Akan

When JJ promised the tape of the Yaa Naa's murder you fell for it and voted NDC back to power. When it was revealed that JJ lied, no protest came from the North. It is sad but one thing remains, the North will be exploited for a long time especially in politics. Having high ranking Ministers from the north equals nothing when those folks exhibit the same selfishness ingrained in all politicians.SAD BUT TRUE!!!

They are somewhat right because your elites allowed them to use you for power, hence Rawlings used some northeners to overthrow the government of Dr Hilla Limann, turned round to persecute them that's Chris Atim, Akatapori etc to exile and after they've sent these northern boys out of Ghana went back to lie about others to them so they could use them for their parochial agenda and now the chicken are coming home to roost.The north must rise and demand accountability from their people in politics, Haruna Fuseini the trades minister had the guts to under rate his own people by saying whatever hardship his people go through they will still vote for ndc and for gyeeda, suba, saba scandle because they are okay with their lives and don't care about the northern elites in politics being corrupt, what? Northern elites are useless university graduates and so cannot mentor the youth. After 50years of free education why is the north still poor? Go to a typical northern second cycle school and you will be amazed to realize that 95% of the students are in the luxurious arts and humanity classes. In some of the schools it is the weak students that are pushed to the science classes. It is not any wonder juicy contracts in the north are executed by southern masons, carpenters, electricians, foremen. etc, whiles the northerners work as labourers carrying stones, sand and concrete yet they will always turn around to say they are poor. A visit to any Akpeteshie Bar in the north shows political science graduates begging for akpeteshie tots because they have no jobs not to talk of money to afford the over-cherished liqueur. Left to me, the northern scholarship should be restricted to those who are ready to study the science, technical and vocational education. This will, at least, force the north to develop.

The enemy left long ago to the soutj. The president is from the north, your reginal ministers are your people, and so are your assembly men and women. This time a lot of northners hold very high positions. The ball is at your court. GYEDA and SADA were managed by northners. Limann was not allowed to rule. John Mahama is a northner. Thanks for this beautiful and insightful article.Many a time we are berated,despised and disliked by some stupid, disgruntled,disillusioned tribal perverts who simply feel we are not part of this country.Just consider the usual senseless and silly comments such as 'pepeni will always be a pepeni'.The reality is that even some southern neutrals with discerning minds like Sekou Nkrumah feel for us but we honestly do not feel for ourselves.Just yesterday i was having a discussing with a friend from upper east about how destructive and retrogressive thinking we are.My friend added he feels far safer and secure dealing with a southerner than northerner.He reiterated if not for the fact his parents migrated to kumasi he would have perished in the north because of the insatiable appetite of destruction born out of morbid jealousy and vindictiveness.He spoke of a young very brilliant doctor whom Alban Sumani Bagbin masterminded his sacking from the Ghana Health Service as the then minister of Health just becuase of politics.The young doctor was a target by some jealous tribal extremist of superiors.They took advantage of Alban Bagbin's dislike and hatred for his fellow northerner to expel the doctor from service.The young doctor who was a victim of obvious malice took his case to court but now have a government headed by a northerner frustrating his case in court to cover up a heinous crime against the young doctor.Ironically he was branded NDC synpathizer and was accused of campaigning for the president hence the hatred by his superiors.He is currently unemployed with a northern minister and northern president behind his woes.In deed the northern elite is not only vindictive,self centered and destructive of their younger kind but morbidly jealous of their progress.They want to be seen and heard alone from their respective cottages and hamlets.They forget similar opportunities and necessary exposure to fame was as a result of somebody's magnanimity.We have a long way to go and the SAD SADA STORY is a testimony how wicked and insensitive the northern political and economic elite are to their own people.
