I am a liberal when it comes to gay rights issue and you hit the right notes about what two consenting adults do in the privacy of their rooms and gays being together not hurting others but I part ways with you when you appeal to the continent of Africa to legalize homosexuality.
First, I don't see any need for legalizing homosexuality in Ghana in particular since there is no law banning your homosexual lifestyle.
Secondly, what rights of the homosexuals are being trampled upon that you need to be restored?
Just live your life without demanding some special rights from the majority heterosexual community. It is such demands that send the foaming on the mouth homophobics to their hateful mode.
If you are talking about your rights to get marriage certificate from the courthouse and the recognition of gay marriage in Ghana and Africa as a whole, then I part ways with you.
Though in USA polygamy is not accepted, some men are by and large living that lifestyle having a wife and girlfriends without the government arresting them for committing a crime but when they go further to secure marriage certificate for more than one woman, then it becomes a crime. This is what those gay bashers refer to as imposing your lifestyle on them and for that I don't blame them.

Well said Cardinal. Polygamy, although practiced in our society, I don't think there's a law in Ghana that makes it legal. And so, what do you mean by legalizing & instituting gay rights? I don't give a rat if you poke your ass until it bleeds & unable to control your bowels & wearing diapers for the rest of your life, that's your freaking business, but don't start that nonsense about legalizing homosexuality. Move to South Africa so you can be legal with your lifestyle.

Two gay gentlemen are walking through a zoo. They come across the
gorillas and after a while they notice that the male gorilla has a massive erection.
The gay men are fascinated by this. One of the men just can't bear it any longer and he reaches into the cage to touch it. The gorilla grabs him, drags him into the cage and mates with him for six hours nonstop. When he's done, the gorilla throws the man back out of the cage.
An ambulance is called and the man is taken away to the hospital. Next day his friend visits him in the hospital and asks, "Are you hurt?"
"AM I HURT?", he shouts, "Wouldn't you be? He hasn't called, he hasn't written..

First, no Ghanaian politician can enact a law without the WILL of the PEOPLE. Power, ABSOLUTE POWER resides with the people. Therefore, i will not hesitate to dare any current/future politician who mounts a political platform to promote homosexuality will be doomed.
Second, Mr. Batun and his partner(house husband),also Mr. Amposah should be mindful that what is good and accepted in South Africa, may not necessarily be good and accepted in other countries.
Batun and Amposah are doing the dirty work on behalf of the WESTERN POWERS but will soon find out they have been misled.
What is gratifying to note is that, this is not a propaganda that the WEST will be able to win easily by lying to the world as they did in Iraq, Libya by removing their leaders from power. This gay rights war will not be about leaders/ presidents but, against the people whose power resides in their leaders.
If Batun, Amposah and co truelly believe in in their cause, i challenge them to hold a public forum to educate and seek views from other stakeholders.
Finally, why can't they equally tell the WEST that they have no moral authority to tell Africans how and whom to marry just as Africans don't question the WEST why they don't practise poligamy.
Thank you.
