i dont see the Europeans offering the other benefits such as the freedom of movement and insisting on visa free entry into their countries. they are not offering half a trillion for infrastructural development and real assistance in bettering the standard of the people of west Africa . this is a war that will destroy any chances of self reliance and self development . see what they have done to our poultry , fish and beef industry . until we have people who understand the issues and the true hidden agendas and dangers of such a one sided agreement where the benefits are only for the Europeans we should not engage in any such devastating experiments . EPA is being pushed now because they are aware pepeni is an illigimate president , even now the video of the murder of atta mills is being circulted in private circles and one day soon he will be overthrown so he is rushing to put another yoke and burden on the people of Akan. this govt can only borrow and can not even secure investments of 30 billion dollars how do they expect to handle a multitrillion agreement which in reality denies your own people the right to develop their own industry. our industrial base is less than 3% by the way. lets not allow this foolishness to pass , its time for a revolution so we restart the future for our children. we shall never surrender

Mr Iddrisu should read the NewAfrican Magazine february 2014,Solving the great conundrum. In this print, the following was written about what the industrial countries have in store for Arica, and I Quote from page 14,"At the Moment, thre is stiff resistance by the metropolitan powers to indigenisation in Zimbabwe.A hefty $1 Billion was taken out of the Country by Investors before the recent elections, which is now making government finances difficult to handle. This is exactly what the Henry Kissinger-inspired American national security Memorandum,NSSM 200, of1974,recommended.
That document, whose aim was to check a so-called uncontrollable growth of the world Population from 4 Billion to 13 Billion by 2000,clearly states that as the west lives off the resources of Africa and other developing countries,a large Population in Africa would lead to the Africans Controlling their natural resources, and this would have implications for American national interest in the form of the African asking for better Terms of trade for their resources or using them for themselves. And, this had to be fought! I will want all those Holding power in Ghana to ask all Ghanaians if they are willing to Hand over their God giving wealth to the never repenting west on a siver plater?and stay doomed till eternity? Ignor the EPA.They can breach any Agreement and get away with it,you cannot.

Thank you. A REAL SON of Africa!!
Some of our reps are ONLY thinking of what is in for them NOW.That the Nation is again SOLD "INTO SLAVERY THROUGH THE BACKDOOR",doesn't occur to them.
The EPA should NOT be signed!

The authority to govern Ghana should be seen as absolute. Therefore any issue,as controversial as the EPA,should be thoroughly debated and inputs invited from the Ghanaian public before the final decision is made. This is an epitome of an issue which should send the lawmakers to their constituencies to collate opinions.

You want to sign EPA and your reasons are that others have sign it so you must also do same? Do you make critical national decisions based on thinking or observation? That 100% EU market access is only one tool of protectionism that is going to be removed. The other protectionist tool of quality specification will still be there and enforced to make up for the tax removal so did we go or did we come? We should be smart and not get excited and ultimately fooled by the removal of just one tool from the protectionist toolbox

The Economic Partnership Agreement (the EPA) between Ghana and European Union is the most important document for Ghana since the bond of 1844 (the piece of document that committed a whole nation and it's people to colonialism) - it will be illegal on the part of our leaders to commit Ghana and it's people again to a second such document without a national referendum - a national referendum on the EPA is mandatory to legitimise it in the eyes of the people - Samuel Ofori-Sey
