There are reports of no police presence during KNUST examinations especially at the medical school at KATH.

With WASSCE and BECE there is police presence. University exams demand even greater policing.

The current practice where newly inducted doctors called house officers with no experience whatsoever are left to experiment with (attend to) serious medical cases while residents, specialists and consultants are away must be put to a stop immediately. There must be at least one specialist present 24 hours in three shift rotations to supervise them. Our health system as it is presently is not the best. The situation in the countryside and rural communities is even worse.

Don´t doubt the wisdom in these words.

They either accept compensation , or not or go to court with the risk of loosing. Currently they have public sympathy which is gradually wanning and the may be none left. Even though 50000gh cannot bring their baby back I believe it not bad. If a CEO has been fired because of this incident what more do you want. When the baby was born, if I have followed the story properly, the midwife showed the baby to Suwailba. Then took the baby to another room and returned to inform her that the baby was dead and without the corpse. What would you think if you were the one? I would rather go with nothing than pretend I am happy having something when I am not convinced my baby was still born.

If you a Ghanaian, tell any parent in our culture to do that and see if the family will not chase you out of town! Even in the so-called 'advanced liberal west', you cannot do this. They have to get to the bottom of this so that if it is a well-organised system going on in our hospitals, they find a way of putting a stop to it! Even if the parents want to 'donate' their baby's body for medical research, there should be a proper procedure!
If you getting fed up, good, just shut up and let them pursue their case in accordance with the law and human dignity!

That missing baby could have been the president of Ghana or someone prominent in this country and would have taken care of his family which I believe the missing kid would have been able to help his family with more than 50,000Gh the Health Ministry is offering to the family.How much did the GOV give to Woyoni 51 billion Gh for something he never did or deserved. 50,000 can not do anything for the family and more over 50,000 now in Mahama's administration is like 20,000 because of high cost of living now in the country and the raising of fuel prize. What the family needs to do is to sue the Ministry of Health with the damage of 4 million dollars and don't tell me the GOV doesn't have that money. I don't no what our so called celebrities are doing in this country because this is the time they all have to come on board to help bring Justices to Suwaiba's family .I rest my case

KATH has been rotten for a long time and this is the time for a house cleaning exercise. as a resident of Kumasi I am fully aware of doctors who have left the hospital because of some of these crimes. But for the hospital to try and bribe its way to calm the family is a pure insult to the family, this will never happen anywhere in the world. has the minister of health been sold would she have been in apposition such as this. so why try to give money to madam suwuiba.

Be advised that the President of Ghana is already involved in this case. Also, a lot of international women's and children's charities are observing the situation. So, my advice to KATH is to admit that what happened to the woman was such an appalling act and the damage caused thereof is huge. So, they should please not be foolish. Rather, they should be committed to divulging the truth and aiming to restore public trust; not being deceptive or conniving in fraud. I can bet that the President of Ghana himself is likely to be embroiled in an unnecessary political minefield if he remains aloof on this matter. Therefore, KATH’s approach should be honest, genuine, respectful and should aim to render a heartfelt apology to all the victims; which when done appropriately, can be acceptable even against the backdrop of professional negligence/incompetence. This approach can also win the poor woman back and can provide the poor child and the mother some closure. Compensation is a must in this case but unacceptable at this stage. The canker of indecent professionalism should be uprooted first then they can discuss compensation which should be huge.

Whoever came with this idea is a devil. Exchanging life with mere 50,000 ghana cedis? The same amount these politicians spend on their girlfriends. How much is a second hand saloon car? Do you know how much money some people spend to have a surrogate mother? Can't Mr Mahama at least personally call this couple to his office and reassure them. It's very painful but to the Ghanaian, one can exchange his/her life with money. What do you think those relatives who have lost their dear ones in this Malaysia missing flight and that of the sinked vessel in China going through? No amount of compensation will make them happy.
