    THIS IS NO NEWS.BECAUSE THIER ARE NOT STEALING THE GAS THEY BOUGHT AND WENT AND SOLD IT PERIOD

    Such actions lead govts to raise fuel prices! and we the majority suffer because of such small groups of "greedy"smugglers !

    becauce of our frequent petrol increase,this writer want us to believe we are still better off than our neigbors in Ivory Coast

    I can not call someone earning a living a criminal. It is only a crime when they don't pay tax, the deference which should be equal to the price of gas in Ivory Coast.

    Similar wave of smuggling of essential goods and Natural Resources, from Cocoa, Spraying Machines, Fuel, to timber preceded the toppling of Kutu's and Akufo's SMC Regime.

    Now, we have Gold thrown into the mix via Galamsey ...

    Not sure why this would be illegal. They have paid the market price in Ghana for it and are selling in another country. An arbitrage due to the difference in prices. Would be any different if it was another commodity?
