MAHAMA AND HIS CORRUPT NDC MUST TELL US WHAT EXACTLY THEY HAVE DONE WITH THE MASSIVE $20 BILLION THEY HAVE BORROWED IN JUST THE LAST 5 YEARS, IF HE IS SAYING,HE HAS NOT BORROWED FOR DRINK AND MERRY MAKING, WHICH MEANS CREATE, LOOT AND SHARE. HOW COULD YOU STEAL MONEY BELONGING TO THE POOR CHILDREN STRUGGLING TO FEND FOR THEMSELVES IN THE MIDDLE OF OUR STREETS, DRIVE PAST THEM AND HAVE A LAUGH???---- GHANAIANS MUST WAKE UP!! OUR FUTURE LOOKS BLEAK. WE CAN'T GO ON LIKE THIS. BAWUMIA HAS ADMONISHED NDC AS A PATRIOTIC CITIZEN BUT THEY WOULDN'T LISTEN. NDC HAS RATHER VOWED TO BORROW MORE TO PLUNGE GHANA INTO MASSIVE DEBT. HABA! NDC.
NKWASEAFO BI NTI GHANA IS SICK!!! THE CEDI HAS ALREADY DIVED DEEP DOWN!!!!!!!------ WE NEED NANA'S WISDOM. HIS LEADERSHIP WITH BAWUMIA IS EXCELLENT. NANA IS OUR POLITICAL MESSIAH!! WE WILL PATIENTLY WAIT FOR HIM TO COME AND LIBERATE US FROM OUR ECONOMIC OPPRESSORS. WE CAN'T PUT OUR TRUST IN THESE YOUNG NDC THIEVES (WITH NO WORK RECORD) WHO WANT TO LIVE LIKE KINGS OVERNIGHT, OWNING JETS, BIG MANSIONS, BANKS, ROLLS ROYCE, DATING MODELS ETC. AT THE EXPENSE OF THE POOR. BEING A PRESIDENT REQUIRES THE USE OF BRAIN NOT BRAWN. A PRESIDENT DOES NOT "THROW" PICK AXE!!! WHO CAN DO THE JOB BETTER THAN NANA, AT THIS TIME IN OUR HISTORY, WHERE GREEDY CORRUPT , SHARP TEETH ROTTEN PLANK NDC SMALL BOYS, PARADING AS POLITICIANS, HAVE PLUNDERED OUR RESOURCES TO THE BONE, THAT OUR OIL ECONOMY INHERITED FROM THE GREAT KUFFOUR HAS HAD NO IMPACT ON THE LIVES OF THE ORDINARY CITIZENS OF OUR COUNTRY???? Does he think that debt will be paid from the kickbacks that the NDC corrupt regime has been raking from their dubious contracts ?
Why are they in a hurry to pile massive debts on this generation and generations yet unborn ?
Which infrastructure can be listed by the govt as costing over $20 billion ?

Yea though we walk through the valley of pepeni death we shall fear no ayigbe evil for the Lord stands by the children of Akan and Israel always . We shall forever remain blessed and despite the trials and tribulations served to us by this aboaba kwasea pepeni and murderous intent of the ayigbe we shall triumph. No matter what they do victory shall be ours for God has most certainly made them blind so they lack any wisdom and see no solutions . These pagan ungodly souls have lied and stolen from us on a daily basis but their days are surely numbered . Somebody quickly remind them i am still waiting in vain to be arrested or see the effects of their juju which they promised because we told our people to prepare for revolution and war . Today its clear the pepeni have armed themselves so we also begin to arm ourselves against these criminals, if you can not buy a licensed gun then make sure you sharpen your cutlasses well and keep them well polished and oiled . pepeni has appointed his incompetent criminal friends , family and tribesmen into various positions of state , little do they know that its not about building empty meaningless careers but they should know its a duty to serve the interests of the people and seek the well-being prosperity of all citizens regardless of stature , religious affiliation , ethnic background , age or gender . They plan and scheme to steal our oil and any wealth we are able to create. they work to systematically destroy even the basic family unit by try to thrush down our throats perverse gay homosexual values as being the ideal .They do not see the beauty of the unity in diversity of the various tribes of Akan rather they encourage and facilitate conflict amongst ourselves but it will not work as our people are now more sophisticated than that as no one is blind to their divide and rule tactics except the few idiots who think they build a political career in the oligarchy which has now crossed over into all parties . Be strong and vigilant oh children of Akan as our day draws nigh . long live the republic of Akan

Frankly speaking there is fact in what the Professor is saying, even if you do not agree, you can bring your points out from the angle of economics in order to convince some of us to follow your visionary mind, which could have been the best way than to call the professor a ''naughty professor''.
Ghana is fed up with this kind of demonic approach of abusing people without knowing who they are to the solving of our economic problems.
Please Akos if you have interest in commenting on national issues then I will like you to come out clean with open hearted points so that the nation can learn from you.
We can help Ghana to grow, not the whiteman who is occupied with his nation's economic challenges. Lets be together to help our own nation.

Which of the government's investments would the learned professor point to as income generating projects? Akomfem or trees? There are no 'ifs' or 'buts'. The concerns of the citizenry is genuine;that government loans do not benefit the country in the long term because they are not used for infrastructural development. Even the UK has stoppped borrowing towards infrastrucutre development, as far back as 1992,but there are projects worth billions a year taking place through private-public partnerships(PPP). With PPP, the government is debt and risk free. Private sector provides financing for infrastructure development-not government. NDC government is using PPP to loot and share monies borrowed in the name of the country.

Economists are a bunch of professionals that if you were to put them together to discuss an ecomony issue they would never agree on anything. Do you remember the bible verse of economists. "All things being equal". All things have never been equal. Therefore, when discussing economic issues common sense must prevail. What did I say; commonse sense. It should be not called common sense because not every body has it.
John Gatsi is saying that rising debt stock should not necessarily alarm Ghanaians only if it provides income generating infrastructure for the country. Do you really foresee any income generations in the medium and long term? The answer is no. That is why Ghanaians should be alarmed.

Well done Prof. This is the sort of explanations that we need to take the emotionS out of natioanl debt issues. Basically if you want to invets in capital items including infrastructure your options are to use your your reserves, save for it , beg for foreign support or take out a loan. To save up will take years whsre as the roads, energy etc are needed now to support development. What we should be rightly concerned about is whether we can afford payments for the loan, whether it is used for its purpose, what pressure it will add to public funds. It is governemnet's job to imform us all the time about this but they are not doing it effectively . This is why we get all the mischief and misinformation.
