When have you ever seen a coach at any level of football or any sports activity, have his way in a match on the field of play - even on a technical issue? What did you expect the coach to do about the obvious cheating of the incompetent Japanese Coach that was strategically appointed by FIFA to handle this match with clear intent to limit the advance of the Black Maidens in the tournament?

You people sound like our govts, who for lack of imagination and initiative, always resort to the easy, cheap and unsustainable way of increasing fuel prices, utilities and taxes to increase govt revenue. hat I want to say is that this particular problem will continue to be there even if the local Coach is sacked. At least this particular Coach has had the good sense to realize what the problem is, and to voice it out instead of leaving it to God.

This is a problem that cannot even be tackled by our Sports Authority, nor our Sports Ministry or by our govt, but by all African govts who also similarly suffer from this monumental corruption and maladministration of international sports.

I hope our sports authorities and govts will wake up from their typical slumber and discuss the issue with other African govts so that we can collectively take some kind of concerted action against this continuing malfeasance which threatens our continued interest in international sports.

Kenkey Warriors, you are a complete idiot. Most of our girls rather appeared to be younger than their age. This is not like the E.T. Mensah time as Minister of Sports when players who were much older than their stated ages were actually encouraged to play in age-limit international tournaments.

Even though our girls showed several tactical shortcomings, I think they played fantastically well, taking into consideration all the financial, logistical and related organizational difficulties they face in an under-developed country in the run-up to the competition.

The only thing that stood between them and victory was the inherently institutionalized racism of FIFA confidently executed by that Japanese referee. Unfortunately we do not have the kind of exceptional sports administrators who can competently deal with this age-old problem of pervading racism in international sports that stands between us (Africa) and deserved victory.

Once again, I say a big congrats to our girls. We shall overcome someday.

honestly,the girls played well n i must confess the coach didn`t pysched the girls during the recess.you see,these were young girls n they needed to be talked to on the purpose of the stage they were n where they wld move to next.the game was lost from the bench....i realised the girls n the coach needed psychologist,especially the technical team.infact,at that stage where the playing were getting tough for the girls,it was the coach who could hv read the game and find solutions to the italians superior technical play.however,the girls were better and good with excellent individual skills but were not playing to a purpose.the game against the germans was the best i saw,everyone was playing good n they had the ability to stand them,but in their last game they were complacent n were caught offguard,hence the need for psychologist.

Let us analyze what could have been a technicality our coaches especially MRAA (Black Star's coach)should watch.

We seem to have raw talents but lack the technicalities of the game. I am not saying the referee was good but let us learn from her cheating:

Referee may have whistled for intention: In both penalties awarded against Ghana, the defender and keeper appeared to surged forward for a violent clash even though in both cases, the ball was clearly not there before the encounters. A good referee would have given verbal caution asking the players to play it soft. She went for penalty calls that ended the Ghanaian dream. Black Stars should learn from this and not let their encounters appear as it was aimed at violence.

The Ghanaian goal disallowed had only one player - not the goalkeeper between the posts. Does the offside rule indicates that the player who scores should not receive a pass if there is only the goalkeeper to beat or if there is any one player to beat? The situation just before the scoring also calls for evaluation. The referee appears to just whistle because the lineswoman raised her flag. It is difficult to see what the lineswoman saw just before the ball was slotted into the net.
The total number of whistles for foul against Ghana was demoralizing to the girls, frustrating them to the loss. Are really too gritty as FIFA put on their website? Why did other referees not see our being gritty? If that is the case then Black Stars need to fine tune our play in Brazil
Very happy Italy too was beaten with two penalties.
