If essien knows his injury will slow him down, why agree to move to A Milan who are looking for someone who will push them forward? If appiah says essien should be given time, is essien giving AC Milan time to pay him his salaries ? If he is ready to receive and is receiving he same fat salary, why plead for time? Let us be fair. He was a good player. His real age may have taken a toll on him. Injury has also taken a toll on him. I it is possible, he can retire after the world cup on a high.
