The whole Blackstars budget and financing is shrouded in mystery and accounting acrobatics investigation is needed for what happened in 2010. Our prize money which was $14 million strangely became $11 million.

The painful part of it is that, these idiots won't write to alert readers that they only heard and don't have the details or the truth. Rather, they'll write as if they were there when it happened, only to find out later that they didn't have facts, making fools of themselves and what they write. Shame on the mess.

Why is Asamoah Gyan coming out now denying it a day after my article that said FIFA is the one that determines the appearance fees so GFA should not even should talk about what they want to pay since it is not them who pay this fee?

The Blacks Stars of Ghana are asking to be paid $100,000 (GH?254,250) per player in appearance fee at the Brazil 2014 World Cup, Allsports.com.gh Thursday reported.

The fee is a 25% raise on the $75,000 paid in 2010 World Cup and was made as part of the team’s petition to its management committee during discussions in Montenegro last week. In 2006 they earned $50,000.

In the same petition, the Black Stars told the Ghana Football Association (GFA) that they wanted their winning bonuses to be paid in dollars instead of the cedis the government has proposed.

Ghana is drawn in group ‘G’ with Portugal, USA and Germany for the 2014 FIFA World Cup in Brazil and will play their opening game against USA in Natal on 16th June.

So why have they been so quiet about it?

Because they want to work it into the budget and then keep it for themselves later.

Whatever bonuses, appearance fees transportation, lodging and entertainment costs are there are going to be met by FIFA's largess, so why tax the people for these monies when they themselves say they are only accountable to FIFA, not the taxpayers?

We would still have two more teams to face. This is the world cup. If we manage to beat all three teams, we would have done well. In the same way, if we are beaten by all three teams, as long as we play well, it would still be Ghana at the World Cup.
