Football teams are there to entertain you by winning matches. What they do affects your emotion. POLITICAL PARTIES are there to bring change into your life. What they do is a SERIOUS BUSINESS that AFFECTS YOUR LIFE. Their work is not to WIN like football clubs but to WORK TO BRING THE NEEDED CHANGE YOU NEED IN YOUR LIFE. What they do determine if you REMAIN POOR or see an IMPROVEMENT in your LIFE. INPROVEMENT IN YOUR LIFE means having access to GOOD PORTABLE DRINKING WATER any time you need it, GOOD HEALTH CARE SERVICE, RELIABLE ELECTRIC SUPPLY, GOOD ECONOMY, WORK FOR YOU TO DO, CLEAN ENVIRONMENT and ACCESS TO GOOD EDUCATION for your kids among others. DEMAND that POLITICIANS GO TO WORK as soon as you VOTE for them to help you realize these things. THEIR WORK is not to TAUNT their OPPONENTS on radio or tv to entertain you. That will not bring any change to you. You don't therefore have to follow them WITH YOUR EMOTION like you do for football clubs like HEARTS or KOTOKO. You pay them for what they do, so DEMAND that THEY WORK to make it possible for you to live longer. It is NOT NORMAL that your PRESIDENT and his MINISTERS TRAVEL outside for medical check-up or service. Ask them to get the EQUIPMENT that attracts them out here in Ghana, so that you can also have access to that. Remember, they are not more human than you. Let your relatives in the rural areas know this, so that they are not taken advantage of again. God bless the people of Ghana and Long Live Ghana.

For the information of the ignoramuses at the Herald newspaper, the various embassies and high commissions we see around do not just exist to grant or refuse visa applications. Their main mandate is to look after the interests of their countries in Ghana. They do so by spying on us and gathering all sorts of information to be sent back to their home countries for decisions to be made concerning Ghana and also for actions to be taken to secure their national interest as far as Ghana is concerned.
In case these ignorant journalists do not know how these things are done, let me educate them that a lot of dirty deals are wrought and executed by the ambassadors and high commissioners in order to get sensitive information which will help safeguard their national interest. Presidents of nations are seriously involved in such dirty deals which sometimes involves very serious bribery, assassinations, murders, plots of all kinds, sanctioned thefts, promotion of prostitution and the narcotic trade for the purpose of gathering information from the dregs of any society's underworld, cover-ups etc.
It is precisely for these reasons that Presidents of nations would readily declare war if the forerunners of this mirky diplomatic skulduggery (i.e. the ambassadors and high commissioners) are arrested to face justice in the country to which they have been sent. Therefore the various countries of the world met in Vienna several years ago and signed a treaty to exempt the Diplomatic Corps from becoming liable to face justice in the host country for their nefarious activities should they be caught doing so by the host country.
Therefore, issues of that nature are hardly admitted by the sending country when their officials are caught doing dirty deals in the host country. Such issues are usually settled quietly behind closed doors but these ignorant journalists do not seem to know this and hence the reason for their display of illiteracy on this matter.
I wonder what guff Hannah Tetteh must have made on this issue on her facebook wall. A discreet silence on such issues is the best way of resolving them because such silence then enables the diplomats to work with other diplomats to resolve them. For instance, do we know what our security agencies have uncovered over the years as regards the nefarious activities of the Japanese Embassy in Ghana which we can then use as a bargaining chip on this current case? These things are a daily reality in the world of diplomats. Is it not true that the British High Commission and the American Embassy worked hand in hand to pay bribes to General Kotoka and Afrifa and a host of others to stage the coup against Kwame Nkrumah? Who tells these ignorant journalists that such activities have come to an end and that the world is now as good and peaceful as Heaven and hence only Ghana's Ambassador Edmond Kofi Agbenutse Deh is the diplomatic villain who deserves to be denounced even by his own government?

When Africa watch magazine said John Mahama's NDC gov't had turned Ghana into the Republic of corruption and it had gained international prominence, many were those in gov't, who were screaming their lungs out that, it was not true and the magazine should withdraw that position.
Time and again, it is becoming very common, the extent the John Mahama/Amissah Arthur NDC gov't, would want to drag Ghana's name in the mud by their actions, bringing the whole country into disrepute. How can Ghana sink to such levels under this Mahama NDC gov't? There's no respect for the country under this NDC gov't, and it is hurting the country. It is hurting the image of Ghana. It is hurting the fabric of our society and there should be consequences. The back and forth with the blame being shifted from one Ambassador to the other, akin to a turf war between the various groupings in the NDC party is not going to help this country drag itself out of the quagmire Ghana finds itself, under this Mahama/Amissah Arthur NDC gov't, unless the NDC gov't is voted out of office, because this state of affairs is unacceptable and Ghana deserves better.
