Mahama's government needs to be more responsible when it comes to fighting violence in the Northern part of Ghana. I lived and worked there and was sometimes surprised about any silly reason that led to violence. Who will want to invest there? Government should punish violence seekers very severely so as it becomes a deterrent to others. Why should a whole Regional minister intervene when the police and military command have made some arrests instead of screening these people and find out those who committed the violence? Is it because it is NDC stronghold? Is he sure the police will put their lives on the line when they have to stop violence or crime? If things do not change, the area shall continue to be neglected though they voted for the government. Who is the regional minister hurting? His own people. When there is no investment in the area, the people troop to the South to do menial jobs and sleep at horrible places.

Yes there is violence up northland which violence must be condemned by all peace loving people. it will not be out of place for even an opposition party to call on the government to ensure peace in the area. but to intimate that a government is behind the killings of innocent souls and that the said killings are meant to intimidate the NPP from organising the national congress in Tamale, could charitably be described as one coming from the underside of a demented person. Buabeng Asamoah was an an anchor at GBC and I shudder and indeed thank God that he is no more. One could imagine what he would have done if he continued at this time to moderate programs at GBC. Let somebody tell Buabeng Asamoah that he is being plain stupid.

This is the same way Ashantis handled situations during Nkrumah's time. Why are you people of NPP of village mentality so troublesome and nation wreckers. Just look back the way you tried to create confusion in Ghana after you had been defeated in an election.

No wonder Ashantihene acknowledged that the NPP came out of a movement that sought trouble in Ghana during Nkrumah's era. He failed to specifically state that the aim of the movement in question was against Nkrumah's victory. Liars!!!!!!!!!
