It's good in the increase in exports of our products, but the fact is:
WHAT PRODUCTS?
If PETROLEUM,GOLD AND COCOA alone, lead in quantity,we have not done anything yet.
WHEN COCOA & GOLD PRICE GO DOWN,WE FALL INTO ECONOMIC PROBLEMS,because we fail to develop the other products, with all the seriousness they need.
Example:Cashews are imported from IVORY COAST before being processed in Ghana.
Isn't that shame on us?

IN ENGLISH there is a big difference between "Government increases" and the phrase "Government plans/promises/hopes to increase".
One of them means it has already happened, but what this story really shows is that gov't is once again making shot-in-the-dark promises for things they will simply and will obviously fail at. By failing to properly report stories without a air of embellishment, Ghanaweb is only helping to spread misinformation

As usual, promises that never see the light of day. Building castles in the air.
Gutter journalism as well.

Has government already increased exports to $5 billion or - like everything else - are dreaming of doing this at some future "nye abotre" date. And, by the way, what's news about this? Hasn't John Mahama and all his ministers put every good thing to happen to Ghana at 2016? This is the first time I am even hearing 2017.
