  WE NEED TO LET ANYONE THAT WANT TO IMPORT RICE TO GHANA TO DO SO THAT WILL INSURE LOW PRICES SO ANYONE COULD AFFROD TO BUY RICE .

  Madam Roes Mary, banning importation of rice is not a sin or your business will collapse, NO but to improve your business and at the same time improving the economy of ghana. Madam Rose, do you that if you import rice from outside, you are creating employment for those countries? In south africa, in terms of food, the businessmen and women import wheat, the rest of the food stuffs are locally manufactured. Do you also know that Nigeria government do not allow salt to be imported to nigeria? so not ghana placing sanctions on rice importation. I want government to include sugar, dead chickens, beef etc. to be precise anything we can produce in ghana should be BANNED FOREVER.

  Oh you people, why? None of you understood the story, I guess. The traders are complaining that those of them who import rice through OTHER POINTS OF ENTRY such as Elubo, Aflao, Hamile, etc. (BY LAND) have been banned from doing so. Only those who import through the Tema Port (SEA) are being allowed. They, the land (INLAND) importers are getting out of business and are losing their business capitals. You hear?
