The Nation of Israel and Ghana has a History of strong cooperation in Agriculture that dates back to the days of Nkrumah. The very strong personal bond between Israel's first Prime Minister, Ben Gurion, and Nkrumah led to the contractual routine training of our Students in Agricultural Engineering, among other disciplines, in the first Republic. That is how our North came to be exposed to massive irrigation in those days.

Had we been able to keep that relationship to the present, Ghana would have attained Agricultural success. The two countries got caught up in the Arab-Israeli conflict that was fueled by the Cold War. Our non-alignment adherence could not save that constructive cooperation between the two Nations. Now, we have the chance to rebuild it. Let us make the most out of it for both countries and keep one eye open when we sleep to detect our common or varied detractors to shut them off. Both countries have come a long way to be mature enough to navigate the rough terrain of current Political realities.

Both could benefit immensely from greater Economic cooperation.

Long Live Ghana!!!
