Our minds are too weak for pastors to make easy money of us. Pay your tithes and widows open and if windows don't open Otabil tells us we are jokers, if we are not jokers how could this scam continue without arrest? Do we think God our father we know to be loving, merciful, HOLY, etc will allow curses on us just because we haven't given 10% tithes plus offering to Otabil and co-pastors, whiles at the time they tell us Christ has redeemed us from the curses of the law? Strikingly, none of these churches are transparent enough and account to the poor members how much money the church has and how much is invested in the poor, needy, widows, strangers, fatherless, etc same as the law say in Leviticus or Deuteronomy.

False prophets tell Ghanaians, it's sin to be wealthy and God curses love for money. They deceive the rich to give all their money to them. But when they enter into the riches realm, they claim, they are blessed. If indeed you re a Ghanaian and you dole out your riches to these false prophets, guess what you re a joker.
God has giving Ghanaians alternative to war and it's jokes and a reason we have been peaceful since independence.
Had Ghanaians laid emphasis on more pertinent issues, they Nation would had collapse through a civil war.

Critisms are part of human existence and Otabil, Duncan-Williams, Mahama and all others can be criticised but let's not insult them and question their faith and their religious practices.

Let's not invite curses unto ourselves because of politicians who don't really care about anybody. We shouldn't we will account for all our actions one day. Let's please stop insulting the men of God irrespective of their perceived political colourisation. Pls we should be careful. I was very sad when Duncan Williams said people hate him for nothing just because he got himself involved in national issues which he has the right to. We silenced Otabil in 2012 and he's been quite since until last weekend when he expressed his concerns about how we handle pressing national issues and here we are insulting him.

It is unfortunate we rather believe in the politicians who lie to us and insult the men of God who are supposed to be the custodians of our faith.

The church helps but the home where the families live is where good character is nurtured. Before the coming of christianity and the churches we had the family so with or without the church there will always be families to raise children.
Most ghanaian christians are not christians in the real sense of the word. They're church goers who don't live their religion. The church will teach the principles and doctrines for a righteous life but living it happens in the home. Stronger families will reflect on the strength of the church which in turn will impact the strength of the nation. What happens when the father, head of the family is a drunk, womanizer and or a deadbeat dad? Don't put all the blame on the. The greater responsibility lies on the leaders who are hell bent on turning Ghana into a failed state.
Kpessah Whyte does not understand why he's in government business. Next time he'll be blaming the failed school system they've created.

Please read Jeremiah 5:21-31 and you will see clearly what is going on. The PASTORS in Ghana ought to bow their heads in shame and repent from their egomaniacal postures and seek God's face for themselves and the flocks they are leading. What Otabil and other charlatans like him are afraid of indeed is not that the greater majority of people will be able to use laughter as the best medicine to soothe their material poverty, but that in doing so, they ignore the notion of the message from these pastors that they need to rely on their preaching if they want to be happy. So what happens here is that self-made joy and happiness and removal of stress becomes a stumbling block to the controlling persona of these psychologically-controlling pastors of these mega churches who need the masses to flock to them for solutions. As an analogy, in the secular world, self-medicating, internet diagnosing patients can become a threat to the practice of private medical clinics because instead of going to see the doctor, you check your symptoms online and go to the pharmacy to buy what you think the cure is.

If Mensah Otabil and all those so called followers of his would care to know the TRUTH, they should take time and read Romans 13 and Titus 3. In these two chapters we find the Holy Spirit through Apostle Paul teaching Christians what our civic duties are.
It is the responsibility of Mensah Otabil and pastors like him to teach their congregants to be respectful to those in high authority, the President notwithstanding.Anything short of that smacks of rebellion-2nd Peter 2:10-22, Jude 1:8-16.
It is important that they shed their partisanship of political parties and stay neutral politically so they can see and hear God's voice clearly to be able to PRAY FOR and not AGAINST the government in power. Please read 1st Timothy 2:1-8. God help Ghana.

Somewhere on this forum someone has quizzed where this Dr. Michael Kpessah Whyte obtained his doctorate and I wish to ask the same for further emphasis!

In my opinion, this man must shut up if he has no critical thinking to offer to the debate at stake.

Mr. Kpessah Whyte lays the blame of the state of the nation at the doorsteps of the church.

Okay! This is where I would like to check the erroneous submissions of this learned man. Does everyone in Ghana belong to the church?

Secondly, is the church the only religious organisation in Ghana?

Thirdly, has he scientific proof that other religious organisations have not contributed to the negligence and corruption that has almost collapsed the national fabric and structures?

He made mention of the state of the church when he was a child ... Of the truth which church does he belong? When was the last time he stepped into that church, besides reading/studying his Bible?

Can he affirmed that as a Christian he never stole a pen from his office?

Mr. Whyte should just check himself before coming out to critique and expose his ignorance and selfishness.

Funny NDC! When honest people like Dr. Mensah Otabil won't allow NDC to use his name and tape-recorded sermons for political campaign and propaganda; when NDC won't stop harassing him, it's simply appalling to hear Dr. Kpessah Whyte another NDC "Apparatchik" turn around to blame Churches for NDC's own failures. Isn't that amazing to note, with this NDC blame game tactics esp. when it's become so clear that they've (esp. John "Aplanke Prez Mahama) failed the nation; that they don't have any ideas to build the nation's economy is being used to rope in everyone? Pathetic NDC; they're shameless bunch of people, now they can't do anything right now except to steal Nana Akufo-Addo's election campaign promises or dreams for Ghanaians. For NDC to refuse to accept failures is surprising; truly their blame game is so pathetic to note.

The very party who rubbished Nana's Free SHS and other campaign promises now says: "Oh, it's now possible to do it just at the very time the economic situation of our nation have worsened, under their government. It's as if every Ghanaian is dumb or a fool; that' what NDC take Ghanaians for. Hmmm, it's so funny! But I wonder if NPP would take the courage and prepare to educate Ghanaians on truth and reality, as it is in Ghana, or allow the NDC continue to lie to people and use all kinds of vile propaganda to derail people's focus.

And I only hope that all those NPP so-called leaders who're so blinded by their political ambitions and have allowed themselves to be used in a way that they can't see anything that NDC is using against the party. NDC wished the NPP stayed in opposition forever!

It's time for Ghanaians to open their eyes and prepared well for the 2011 elections. All this NDC rhetoric won't help them or anyone. Ghanaians are see the direct repercussions of election fraud; the pain, economic hardships and misery that citizens of our dear nation is going through isn't just by co-incidence. Everything that happens has a meaning. It is true nothing happens by chance and we have to face reality.
