it was very clear for anyone with common sense to know that the doctors and nurses at the hospital had failed in their duty of care and had been negligent. I believe if the Zongo boys did not act violent, there wouldn't have been any investigation onto the incident. it can be seen that, this incident has happened at the hospital on so many times, but there has been any investigation because, the families have not acted like what the Zongo boys did.

I listened to the hospital PRO[a Kwame Frimpong] try his best to turn the tables on the poor woman who had experienced this traumatic ordeal;simply because she had given 'conflicting' accounts of the story to the media! His tenor gave the impression that Suwaiba Abdul Mumin,was a LIAR and a publicity freak, who craved the the public spotlight. Let`s hope this guy musters the necessary courage to render an unqualified apology to Suwaiba and her family.

A similar issue is pending in Cape Coast, where a hairdresser who has not given birth before and never been pregnant has suddenly been seen with a newly born baby and is even causing problems between her and the husband because the husband is demanding to know the identity of and how she came by the baby. The said hairdresser has her shop at London Bridge in Cape Coast, and she is staying just before Ekon junction, a turning on the left just after holy child, on top of a hill where the ECG have their Guest house. This house is a bit in isolation just after the ECG Guest House, and the Police must investigate. Intelligence gathered so far indicates that, a report was made to the Gender Minister who also gave directives to the Social Welfare but the Social worker took money and even relayed the information directed by her Minister to the victim. Whoever reads this and is in a position to draw the attention of the Authorities to arrest this woman who from sources has stolen the baby.

It is good a very news that at least somebody is on leave for wrong doing at KATH which has seen lots of mismanagement, bribery, corruption, lateness to work, use of mobile phones at the wrong time by some health professionals at the expense of their sick patients, complete disregard and respect for dead bodies at the hospital/ward and sometimes utterly disrespect and disregard for patients. Can you imagine nurses shouting at patients at the wards? I also think that the health workers at the morgue (mortuary men) need some talking to in terms of disregard to treating dead bodies in some cases they are openly seen taking bribes from family who are bereaved families, just to put their bodies in the morgue.I do not take delight in seeing people been punished but it will send a signal to others who show no respect for policies and regulations. Wrong doing at the KATH has being goging for ages and no one really cares. Enough is enough. The CEO must go, he is useless in terms of managing the KATH.

The govt should seriously consider introducing or strenghtening existing strict liability tort law in the area of health-care in this country. This will not only improve the quality of care provided,but will re-orient the focus of many practitioneers to their core calling of saving lives,and not street-level[agitation] politics!
