I hope they will take it serious without falling to the trap of bribery. Ghanaians must accept that we have only one legal tender for our domestic market as applied in any civilised country. Dollar is for US and cedi is for Ghana market. Let us be proud of it and respect it for foreigners to follow us. This is one of the ways we can boost the demand for it and increase its value in forex market. Those doom singers must keep to their cynical and evil views and allow Bank of Ghana to manage the cedi.

"Officials of EOCO would carry the necessary identification documents along during the inspection and the public would be encouraged to demand and examine such identification documents." This is what we expect from organizations such as FDA, EPA, ECG etc because there is so much rot going on in the country and the very people screaming to be exempted are the ones who insult the President and gov't. EPA, wake up for our hotels, restaurants, food production companies and warehouses are all crawling with rats, mice, cockroaches and snakes. Save the Ghanaian consumer. EOCO has taken pragmatic steps, let's see the others follow.

Before you go praising EOCO,think about the feasibility of imposing these controls. In the long run, all folks will do is vary prices, almost on a weekly basis, add a markup to cover the cost of buying forex on the black market. It will require sound structural adjustments and sensible management of the economy to achieve a stable currency. Just how difficult is this for the low-brain NDC cabal to grasp?
