We have come a long way and it is about time we weaned ourselves off this nonsense.

If we will rotate the leadership of the nation, then trust me, Ghana will never see the day light. We need competent people to rule the nation and that is what "civilize people" do.

Kufuor rule without any oil money but look at what is going on. Mahama and NDC are swimming in a river of oil yet, they do not know what to do to get things done. The challenges facing Ghanaians today is not tribalism,so whether the NPZZP party selected its flag bearers from one tribe is non of your business.
I don't know the value someone like this village idiot called Boateng Gyan adds to the development of the Ghanaian economy. The country is suffering today because every idiot like Boateng Gyan wants to join the NDC because they don't operate with any laid down rules and regulation.
Any known criminal who wants his sins to be put under the carpet would rush to join the NDC, and that is why the party is full of criminals and nation wreckers. Selecting flag bearers from three different regions was for the purpose of looting and sharing.
Jerry Rawlings collapsed the Ghanaian economy which ushered the country to HIPC in 2000, and indications are that Ghana would qualify to go HIPC by june 2014, courtesy another NDC government under John Mahama.
These are issues that should engage the attention of any right thinking people in the NDC government. Unfortunately, the NDC party lack people of high caliber intelligence to run the country,and has appointed idiots like Boateng Gyan who cannot think to be collecting huge salaries at the expense of the state, whilst Doctors and hard working Teachers and the ordinary people are suffering to make ends meet.
If idiots like Boateng Gyan is in government, then the performance of such a government is a foregone conclusion, abysmal.

Northern Peoples Party( Original NPP ) founded in 1954 by Chief S.D Dombo, Mumuni Bawumia, J.A. Braimah, Tolon Naa Yakubu Tali, Naa Abeifaa Karbo, Imoru Salifu and C. K. Tedem, was to protect the interests of the Northern people. Later on in 1957 merged with UP (United Party)to defeat the CPP.

United Party(UP) later changed back to the current NPP (National Patriotic Party )

The first tribal seed was sown when NPP was sovereign to DANQUAH-BUSIA instead of DANQUAH-DOMBO-BUSIA.

No political Party in Ghana has ever won without winning the 3 Northern Regions. The Northern Regions has become a change maker in todays politics. That is why all vice presidents have always been people from the North.

It is true that the Flag-bearers of NPP has always been people from the south even though the Original Party founder was from the North. ( Chief S.D Dombo= Northern Peoples Party )

To some, who maybe too young to know the history and the growth of the party will disagree. The idea of the merger between Northern People Party and United Party to form the current NPP was to mix and unite North and South but that is not was is happening in the Party. People like Fred Agbenyo,Seth Dogbe, Okudzeto-Ablokwa, John Djinakpor, etc (even President Mahama himself) speak Akan fluently. It is this bad thinking of people like Yaw Boateng Gyan that has not allowed Ghana to use Akan, which is most appropriate,as the national language; hence,we don't have a natinal language for our development. The good thing happening for NDC is all the problems are out there in the public's view unlike the Kufour administration, everything was hidden under the carpet. I see more transparency in NDC than NPP. Yes there are corruptions and yes the courts are trying the cases. The rule of law is working here. If the corrupted individuals are convicted the rule of law will deal with them. I cannot say that about the NPP regime - there was immunity to certain party members ( Kufour Family )

In NPP there has always been a fierce contest to select their leader and no one has been bared to offer themselves to lead the party. Busia was very respected in Ashanti Region. As leader of the Progress Party, he won all seats in the Ashanti Region. Busia is still a revered figure in Ashanti.It is Yaw Boateng Gyan's own formulation that Busia was seen as "a mushroom from shit" in Kumasi. This is sad indeed. NPP is the party of the people. Over 5 million Ghanaians voted for NPP and those are not made up of only Akyems and Asantes. NPP is truly national party and no amount of lies will change that.

I am a pure northerner with northern blood running through my veins but have sworn never to make that mistake again by voting for the NDC because of this tribal card that has always been used by them. What has always been the performance of northern presidents... Poor Limann was ousted by that foolish man called Rawlings who ended up imposing himself on Ghanains and here we are again with a very clueless president called Mahama who does not have any idea about governance simply because we voted on tribal line. Then NDC as a party is so nauseating with this tribal thing. We have a region whereby 95% of its inhabitants have repeatedly voted for NDC which to them is normal but are always quick to point fingers at others. What kind of hypocrisy is that? If the Akans were that bad and tribal I bet you, no minority tribe would have ruled Ghana since they are more than all the other minority tribes.

Asantes migrated from Mali to Ghana started tribal wars to displace the sisalas with the collaboration with the white man, sold them into slavery. The funny thing is that ADU BOAHEN never mention this in his Ghana history. This piece of history is missing in our history books - was this intentionally done?

It was sad to find this history in the archives of the British Library on Ghana History.

My brother if you want to know the real history of Gold Coast then do your own research by asking yourself questions and answer by yourself than to rely on this twisted and fabricated stories from the British. now my question to you is which year did the British arrived in Gold Cost and what was their purpose of coming there? British always twisted and fabricated stories for people to believe. Only Africans who have pizza brains will believe anything from british.
