The new directive include all and sundry. The real estate market will not receive any new directive from the government to advertise their products in the local currency. They are all included.

I am wondering why hotel operators should be paying 1% Levy to the Tourist Board. What on earth is the Tourist Board doing for the Hotel Industries in Ghana. Most of the items used in Hotels are imported with heavy custom duties. With this new measure, it is going to be very hard for hoteliers. Ghana has the most expensive hotel rental in the world. Some hotels charges to the tune of $500 per night in Ghana. Tourism can bring a lot of money to Ghana, if the Government can help the hoteliers in some ways. The government should cancel the 1% levy paid to the Tourist Board now

Hoteliers must be urged to accept coins as well. The other day I wanted to make payment in cedi notes and coins at a hotel, come and see the anger and from hotel operators.
