Russia, Turkey, Argentina etc, so that does not exonerate your government from corruption and incompetence. Hope you are aware of the recent demonstrations in Turkey demanding the resignation of the Prime Minister. In fact the blame squarely lies at the door of you and your government. You are turning out to be the most incompetent ever government in Ghana. With addition of oil although in small quantities, you had a better start than all previous government except Nkrumah, but you have blown everything with the incompetence and immaturity of your minister and cronies. How you manage to silence Rawlings has been shocking, only time will tell what deal was able to silence him. But I am really disappointed in this administration.

Why should we overlook or pretend things are fine when it is the opposite. I will be hostile to any government that fails to address the basic needs of the citizenry. Until I experienced regular supply of water, electricity and affordable accommodation, no one should come preaching "understanding" to me.
None of these politicians experience the humiliation of having to wake up to no water in your house and even when they did, they commandeer resources immediately to resolve.

As a citizen, I fulfill my part of the contract by paying taxes and abiding by the rules.

Even the Akan community are rejecting the NPP for reasons the NPP are refusing to acknowledge and this was the point of Wereko Brobbey. We'll like to bring PEACE FM'S attention to the situation that is going on in their sister Radio station at GhanaToday HOLLAND. It has been cleared to the listeners of Ghana Today radio , how the presenter Kofi nyarko was rude to the sympathizers of the ruling NDC Gov, on his "wosukabi" program. Kofi nyarko did not end his rudeness, but Kofi organized members from his npp party, especially those who were akan's, they were carefully selected to come on air to dehumanized the rest of the tribes here in Ghana on his radio show. We the listeners here in Ghana can confirm to the PEACE FM management that the home grown npp terrorist who is now residing in Holland kofi nyarko, has done the same thing he was used to on Monday the 10th of February, when one of his regular caller named Joe Canada ,the sympathizer of the ruling NDC Gov. We heard this gentleman who called the program to refute to the comments one of the caller who is also a sympathizer of the opposition party the npp. The npp man called the program and run insults and accused the people from the Volta Region for the hardships the country is currently facing, he said according to him, he didn't understand why the Ewe's should elect somebody like Samuel Okudjeto Ablakwa as their MP , he asked? He went on by saying the Ewe's gives their Votes to anything in front of them, even animals. This uncalled-for words goes down well for the host Kofi nyarko which he congratulated the frustrated npp caller. When the sympathizer to the ruling NDC Gov, Joe Canada, also call the program to refute the unfortunate comments from the npp caller, kofi nyarko who can't hide his affection support for the opposition p npp party ,quickly jumped to defend the npp caller. Kofi nyarko gave his strong warning to the NDC caller not to dare call his radio programs to contribute again, he went on to said , he won't even pick up his call anytime he sees he Joe Canada's number on his phone. These ugly situations compelled some of us to send a strong warning to PEACE FM management, to urgently arrest this situation before its get out of hands. We believed kofi nyarko is trying hard to sow a tribal seeds between us here in GHANA and abroad. The management of PEACE FM must know that kofi nyarko who was placed on npp pay roll to tarnish the ruling NDC Gov, and his division tactics by playing a tribal cards is dangerous to our society and our young democracy here in GHANA We are looking forward to see the management of PEACE FM to call un-erected host kofi nyarko to immediate order before we hit the street of Accra.

If your security personnel can track Nigerians and check their activities, you will see that they are part of the problem. It is a known fact when Nigerians enter any country, their first job is to find a way to print the local currency to make the economy look stupid. Yes, Mr. President, you are to blame. The global aspect of the currency turbulence is just one side of the coin. The fact is the overspending and mismanagement of our economy were started during the presidency of Atta Mills when you were the Vice-President. And when you became the President after the demise of Atta Mills in the middle of 2012 that's when things started getting worse. Up till now nobody in your Government has been able to explain how Ghana was able to spend 4 billion US Dollars in the last 3 months of 2012 alone. No wonder the Cedi depreciated 17% in 2013. At that time US had not changed her monetary policy. So the blame is yours especially when we notice that you and your government have no proactive policies to solve our economic problems, but are simply treating the symptoms, that may at best have short term effect.
You need to work hard, Mr. President, for things are really falling apart!

John Mahama's attempt since day one to separate himself from the inactions and actions he took from 2009 till present as first the Vice President and the head of the economic management team, and now as the President, which has resulted in the economy descending into the absolute abyss, is disingenuous, smacks of gross irresponsibility and a failure of leadership, which has been non-existent right from the onset.
The convenience of trying to hang the clear case of financial and fiscal irresponsibility and indiscipline, coupled with plain thievery and corruption, buttressed by incompetence, and a manifest lack of vision and foresight, on the effects of the global financial system, borders on childishness and a humongous lack of understanding of the economic fundamentals of the country on the part of the John Mahama/Amissah Arthur NDC led gov't.

Indeed, the propaganda to obfuscate the issues when they were raised by the Bawumia's, Osafo Marfo's, Osei Akoto's, Abbey's, TUC, CSO's, Think tanks, etc, etc, which was rubbished by the likes of Fifi Kwetey, Ablakwa, Terkper, Ofosu Kwakye, etc, etc using the wage bill, the election petition, and now the global financial system, with some even going ahead to postulate that juju men/black magic/African witchery/dwarves were the cause of the depreciating of the cedi smacks of unintelligence, backwardness and incredulity. At some point, high rise buildings was even thrown into the mix, with all sorts of ad-hoc measures being implemented ostensibly to "resurrect" the cedi.
It is palpably clear without any shred of doubt or ambiguity that, the NDC gov't led by John Mahama has failed woefully to meet the governance test and needs to be sent packing in 2016 through the ballot box, by massively voting out the NDC gov't led by John Mahama. The clear instances of excuses, shirking of responsibility and looking to blame everybody and everyone but the gov't itself, is not and has never been the panacea to the failed policies, programs and interventions to address the myriad of problems facing the country. One would have said that, the NDC gov't led by John Mahama and Amissah Arthur should fix it, but there's absolutely NO CONFIDENCE in the ability and the capacity of the NDC administration to fix anything and need to be voted out in 2016. Ghana has come too far to be saddled with this clueless, visionless, incompetent, indisciplined, irresponsible, corrupt and thieving family and friends NDC gov't, who have managed to bury Ghana 6 feet under in just 5 years in office, with untold hardship, despair, misery and despondency having become the lot of the masses.

Mr. president please let's cease the opportunity, and take advantage of this proverbial crack in the window, -- that has just developed. This is the golden opportunity we need to start putting our economy back on track.

With all due respect, the people of Ghana want action, and would only be convinced when they begin to see some positive results.

The majority of our people are not that sophisticated, and savvy enough to handle global monetary policies.

Turkey is a middle-income country with relatively few natural resources. Their economy is based on high agriculture and heavy industry.

South Africa is a mixed bag developed country with an industrialized economy associated with developing countries but also has an uneven distribution of wealth and income. Their mining, manufacturing, services, and agriculture, is well developed.

I dare you to describe what Ghana has, how we compare to just those 2 and how our economy stands despite the rise of the dollar.

Don't you understand this simple fact that if our economy was strong and doing well, it brings in more opportunities, investment and confidence PLUS ghana would not be so badly affected.
