Childishly calling your opponents communist in a serious debate will not do. There is not a single member of the NPP, here in Ghana or in the Diaspora who can say workout equivocation that they do not own anything made in China why? Communist China is living proof only fools believe in all or nothing preposition that clouds the best system of governance debate.
We are in the mess we find ourselves in Ghana because we have had foolish, thieving and intellectually inferior people run Ghana since 1966. The value of the cedi is where it is today not because of the current NDC government but because of the cumulative debt from 1970 till now. Even when our benefactors did forgive some of our outstanding debts we continued to pile on new debt as members of parliament, civil servants, the judiciary and the executive stole or mismanaged monies from loans and or from revenues.
Start reading with understanding and you and other educated but simple minded Ghanaians will see the light that it does not pay to be loyal to tribe or party over nation or country.

What was the "Economics Guru",Bawumiah,doing when his party was in power? All the variables were in place to begin the process,but what did they do in all the 8 yrs they were in power? I know it turned Kweku Baako`s personal fortunes around, courtesy of ex- Pres Kuffour,but nothing fundamentally was done to change the 'Guggisberg Economy',which has become part of their party anthem!
In fact Bawumiah,as one of the principal architects of economic policy during the Kuffour era,is responsible for much of the difficulties/hardships this nation now faces! His bandaid approach [redinomination of the Cedi;rebasing to make the numbers look good;the unprecedented liberalisation of importation of goods[with emphasis on consumer items,to signify that the 'good times' were back again, all exacerbated our weak economic situation.

The other factor is the twitching of the bond market by the Federal Reserve Bank. This is causing outflow of capital from the emerging economies. The India Rupee is at all time low against the dollar at the moment. Brazil and many other countries are witnessing fast depreciations of their currencies.
Ghana needs some fiscal economic astuteness granted, but some forces in the International market is unavoidable. So we should weigh the various factors before jumping to conclusions.

I believe that having experienced the election petition case, the election fraud and the horrible economic situation, Ghanaians won't sit down for NDC and the EC to deny them their will wishe at the polls in the next elections.

The interesting thing is that when Nana Akufo-Addo made his campaign promises, the NDC, who had hitherto challenged him thought the could steal the ballot, win power and implement Nana's promised election programs and take the glory. They were wrong! Nana had kept this cards to his chest, so only he has the keys the programs he'd promised during his election campaign. Nana and Bawumia are smart people and that's a fact that NDC don't seem to appreciate.

John "Aplanke Prez" Mahama and his NDC no-hoppers' club are going in circles; they've totally failed the nation as it happened during late Atta-Mills' presidency. They'll continue to fumble and cause confusion and pain to Ghanaians until the situation gets out of hand.

What a dump satetment by both Baako and Bawumia. Does Baako know that the currency rate of a country is influenced by many factors some outside the control of the host country? Factors such as politics, perception, confidence, social/foreign and economic policies of a nation. Even if Baako believes in 'buy and sell economy' mentality he should know that in demand and supply theory the main factor in the equation is the 'responsiveness ie. the 'elasticity' of demand or supply. This is same in the currency rate. I wished Bawumia had the magic formula to solve the current world wide depressed, stagnant and inactive economic situation. Baako wants to play political economics but in so doing he has exhibited his ignorance, intellectual laziness, empty brain and foolishness which can be displayed by an imposter who, is trying to be significant in the community of those who know very little about international currencies and the factors that influence the exchange rate. Oh by the way what was Bawumia's record performance as the Deputy Governor of Bank of Ghana and what was his role in the devaluation and re-denomination of the cedi by Kufuor's government? I wonder why some Ghanaians are still ignorant and place priorities on their partys interest more than the interest of the country.Do we expect the parties to be richer than the nation itself.The country is becoming poorer and poorer in terms of social amenities ,infrastructure and places of convenience.Those who support blindly are the ones who see Ghana as heaven.I expect every Ghanaian to travel and see so that on their return they can realize the harm and woes these political causing to our beloved country.We must stop supporting blindly and seek the welfare and progress of the country.If you are in a party they are not performing well,dont be silent talk because at the end of the day you are going to bear the consequencies.Are they only to enjoy the national cake.These government officials enjoy free accommodation,free use of govt vehicles,using coupons to buy petrol at expense of poor Ghanaians ,securitymen watching their houses,maids,fat salaries and on top of that steal govt money.Why should we we pamper them if they are not rendering good services to the nation.In circumstances like these only stupid Ghanaians will support such unscrupulous party leaders.

I blame the fall of the cedi on propaganda, voodoo economics, medo nyame exchange rate economics, inflation drop to single digits because I'm the chief propagandist economics, corruption, wanton looting and thievery, ineptitude, incompetence, mismanagement and indiscipline of crass proportions by the NDC gov't led by the duo of John Mahama and Amissah Arthur. That is the real meaning of e de bee k3k3. No investor worth his sort would sink his hard earned funds in such a putrid mess. Since the NDC gov't acknowledges that the economy is in the pits, they should stop giving excuses and blaming others for their recklessness and fix it.
